Understanding transmission pathways of important opportunistic, drug-resistant pathogens, such as extended-spectrum beta-lactamase (ESBL)-producing , is essential to implementing targeted prevention strategies to interrupt transmission and reduce the number of infections. To link transmission of ESBL-producing (ESBL-EC) between two sources, single-nucleotide resolution of strains, as well as diversity within and between samples, is required. However, the microbiological methods to best track these pathogens are unclear.

A visual avoidance event occurs when a moving object approaches the eye of a free-swimming animal at an approximately 90-degree angle and the animal turns in response to the encounter. Analysis of this behavior requires tracking both the free-swimming animal and the moving visual stimulus both prior to and after the encounter.

Post-transplantation cyclophosphamide (PTCy) effectively prevents severe GVHD, but there are limited data on outcomes of DLIs given to PTCy-treated patients. We reviewed 162 consecutive PTCy-treated patients transplanted between 2015-2022 within the Center for Immuno-Oncology at the National Cancer Institute.
