We show that the Veneziano amplitude of string theory is the unique solution to an analytically solvable bootstrap problem. Uniqueness follows from two assumptions: faster than power-law falloff in high-energy scattering and the existence of some infinite sequence in momentum transfer at which higher-spin exchanges cancel. The string amplitude-including the mass spectrum-is an output of this bootstrap.

An Intersectional Analysis of Behavioral Financial Hardship and Healthcare Utilization among LGBTQ+ Cancer Survivors.

Background: lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer, or another non-heterosexual or cisgender identity (LGBTQ+) cancer survivors experience high financial hardship. However, structural drivers of inequities do not impact all LGBTQ+ individuals equally. Using All of Us data, we conducted an intersectional analysis of behavioral financial hardship among LGBTQ+ cancer survivors.

Unexpected retinal fluid compartment responses with anti-VEGF therapy in polypoidal choroidal vasculopathy: a case report of four patients.

This case series describes responses to faricimab treatment in opposite directions in different fluid compartments in four patients with polypoidal choroidal vasculopathy (PCV). Despite reductions in retinal fluid (SRF) and stable visual acuity following treatment, all patients developed retinal pigment epithelium (RPE) elevation. Over a 12-15 months follow-up, three patients exhibited a gradual decrease in RPE elevation, with one case resolving completely.

Gastric cancer is common globally and has a generally poor prognosis with a low 5-year survival rate. Targeted therapies and immunotherapies have improved the treatment landscape, providing more options for efficacious treatment. The use of these therapies requires predictive biomarker testing to identify patients who can benefit from their use.
