SherpaPak Cardiac Transport System: Experience in Pediatric Heart Transplantation.

Introduction: The present study aimed to assess the clinical outcomes of pediatric heart transplant patients whose donor hearts were preserved with the SherpaPakCardiac Transport System.

Methods: All pediatric patients undergoing heart transplantation at our center between January 2020 and June 2024 were included and described. Vasoactive inotropic score (VIS) was calculated.

Marital status shows no protective effect on perioperative outcomes after robotic-assisted pulmonary lobectomy.

Background: Marital status has been shown to have protective effects for married patients with various cancers. We sought to determine effects of marital status on perioperative outcomes after robotic-assisted pulmonary lobectomy (RAPL).

Methods: We retrospectively analyzed 709 consecutive patients who underwent RAPL between 2010 and 2022 by one surgeon.

Biosecurity and Biocontainment for Ruminant Respiratory Disease.

Respiratory disease in cattle and small ruminants is caused by various factors, including inadequate biosecurity and biocontainment. Biosecurity and biocontainment depend on good husbandry. Testing on arrival and quarantining for 42 to 56 days could improve biosecurity.
