However, compared to DNNs, spiking neural networks (SNNs), which operate on binary signals, more closely resemble the biological characteristics of efficient learning observed in the brain. In SNNs, spiking neurons exhibit complex dynamic characteristics and learn based on principles of biological plasticity.

Surgical ciliated cyst a newly added entity in WHO classification of head and neck tumours (2022): A case report.

The surgical ciliated cyst is a newly added entity under the cysts of the jaws in the World Health Organization (WHO) Classification of Head and Neck Tumours (2022). It is preceded by a prior surgery to the jaw many years before its diagnosis. A 53-year-old Chinese female, who had undergone cleft lip and palate repair followed by orthognathic surgery before the age of 20, was referred for management of an incidentally found cyst in the left maxilla.

Long-term control of viral replication relies on the efficient differentiation of memory T cells into effector T cells during secondary immune responses. Recent findings have identified T cell precursors for both memory and exhausted T cells, suggesting the existence of progenitor-like effector T cells. These cells can persist without antigenic challenge but expand and acquire effector functions upon recall immune responses.

Challenges of Dementia Care in a Regional Australian Hospital: Exploring Interventions to Minimise Length of Stay for Dementia Patients.

Objective: There are significant difficulties associated with the management of dementia patients in hospitals, leading to adverse patient outcomes, prolonged length of stay (LOS), strain on resources and high readmission rates. This study aimed to investigate these factors in the context of a regional hospital.

Design: This study retrospectively reviewed all dementia admissions in a publicly funded Australian regional hospital from January 2022 to December 2022.
