The tumor microenvironment (TME) is characterized by several key features, including hypoxia, elevated levels of hydrogen peroxide (HO), high concentrations of glutathione (GSH), and an acidic pH. Recent research has increasingly focused on harnessing or targeting these characteristics for effective cancer therapy. In this study, we developed an innovative composite bio-reactor that integrates genetically engineered bacteria with upconversion nanoparticles (UCNPs) and nano-copper manganese materials for lung cancer treatment.

The rapid growth of internet usage has led to increased cyberbullying among adolescents, with varying rates reported across countries. This study aimed to investigate the impact of cyber moral literacy on cyberbullying among late adolescents, examining both the mediating role of moral disengagement and the moderating effect of guilt on the relationship between cyber moral literacy and cyberbullying. Data were collected from 7837 late adolescent students (aged 18-21 years) at four universities in Sichuan Province, China.

The emergence of a local effective theory from a more fundamental theory of quantum gravity with seemingly fewer degrees of freedom is a major puzzle of theoretical physics. A recent approach to this problem is to consider general features of the Hilbert space maps relating these theories. In this work, we construct approximately local observables, or overlapping qubits, from such non-isometric maps.

The coordination of chromatin remodeling is essential for DNA accessibility and gene expression control. The highly conserved and ubiquitously expressed SWItch/Sucrose Non-Fermentable (SWI/SNF) chromatin remodeling complex plays a central role in cell type- and context-dependent gene expression. Despite the absence of a defined DNA recognition motif, SWI/SNF binds lineage specific enhancers genome-wide where it actively maintains open chromatin state.

Article Synopsis
  • Obesity is a major global health issue linked to serious diseases, and traditional treatments often have undesirable side effects, creating a need for safer alternatives.
  • This study investigates the anti-obesity potential of plant extracts from leaves using advanced computational biology methods, revealing three key active compounds and identifying PPARG as a target gene.
  • The findings demonstrate that Sitogluside effectively reduces fat accumulation in cells, highlighting its potential as a promising and safer obesity treatment option.
