In the presence of temporally organized stimuli, there is a tendency to entrain to the beat, even at the neurological level. Previous research has shown that when adults listen to rhythmic stimuli and are asked to imagine the beat, their neural responses are the same as when the beat is physically accented. The current study explores the neural processing of simple beat structures where the beat is physically accented or inferred from a previously presented physically accented beat structure in a passive listening context.

Materials And Methods: This observational comparative vaccine effectiveness (VE) study was conducted using administrative claims data from the US HealthVerity database (September 22, 2021, to August 31, 2022). A third dose of mRNA-1273 versus BNT162b2 was assessed for preventing COVID-19 hospitalizations and medically attended COVID-19 among adults aged ≥ 65 years.
Unlabelled: Capsular polysaccharides (CPS) in are pivotal for bacterial virulence and present extensive diversity. While oral streptococci show pronounced antigenicity toward pneumococcal capsule-specific sera, insights into evolution of capsule diversity remain limited. This study reports a pneumococcal CPS-like genetic locus in , a predominant oral .

Recently, fasting-mimicking diet and caloric restriction have been shown to improve antitumor immunity. In this issue of Cancer Research, Zhong and colleagues provide insights into the molecular mechanism of fasting-mimicking diet-mediated metabolic reprogramming in colorectal cancer progression. The authors performed comprehensive mechanistic experiments in mouse models to show that fasting-mimicking diet prevents colorectal cancer progression by lowering intratumoral IgA+ B cells by accelerating fatty acid oxidation to inhibit B-cell IgA class switching.
