The United States Naval Academy long-term scintillation measurement campaign was a multi-year effort to characterize optical turbulence in the near-maritime atmospheric boundary layer (ABL). At its core, the field experiment consists of in situ measurements of bulk atmospheric and oceanographic parameters, as well as path-averaged measurements of the refractive index structure parameter, 2, collected using a large-aperture scintillometer. The field experiment ran from January 1st, 2020, through September 26th, 2023, representing the most comprehensive collection of optical turbulence measurements in the near-maritime ABL to date.

Drawing on a subset of child-produced radio segments from March 2021, she foregrounds how children in an extracurricular program strategically used radio to share their pandemic experiences with their community. Supplemented by 5 months of virtual observations, she identified how child-DJs used radio to share how-through the COVID-19 pandemic-they cared and their community.

A longitudinal experiment examined how explicit scaffolding-such as encouragement or praise-influences helping late in the first year, when helping emerges. Eighty-three infants (40 female, 6-9 months, 54% White, 17% Hispanic/Latinx, 16% Asian) participated in up to 10-weekly home visits in which they could help an experimenter in a novel activity.
