The aim of our study was to analyze the potential survival benefit associated with HSCT according to clinico-biological scores which incorporate molecular data (MIPSS70 and MIPSS70+V2) to facilitate decision-making in this context. One transplant (n=241) and one non-transplant cohorts (n=239) were used to test the hypothesis that PMF patients with higher risk molecular score benefit from HSCT. A weighted propensity score was applied to balance confounding factors with the transplanted cohort as reference.

We here revisit this simple switch model and provide evidence that the T cell lineage protein THEMIS enhances the signaling threshold at which the immune checkpoint BTLA (B- and T-lymphocyte attenuator) represses T cell responses. THEMIS is recruited to the cytoplasmic domain of BTLA and blocks its signaling capacity by promoting/stabilizing the oxidation of the catalytic cysteine of the tyrosine phosphatase SHP-1.

Hereditary renal cell carcinoma (RCC) is caused by germline mutations in a subset of genes, including VHL, MET, FLCN, and FH. However, many familial RCC cases do not harbor mutations in the known predisposition genes. Conditions to form selectively, at room temperature, high-valued 1,4-bis-borylated tetrahydroquinolines from simple starting heteroaromatic compounds have been developed. The efficient and selective functionalization of a large scope of quinolines bearing various electron-donating or electron-withdrawing substituents is presented, as well as the post-modification of the resulting C-B bond.
