Sensory features are included in the diagnostic criteria of autism and atypical sensory responsiveness may produce "cascading effects" on later development. Similarly, autistic individuals often struggle with motor coordination and early delays in the motor domain appear to be linked to later development. However, the longitudinal interrelation between early sensory profiles and motor features on later socio-communicative skills remains to be defined.

Article Synopsis
  • Intravital 2P-microscopy facilitates the study of brain tumor behavior in mouse cortex, previously limited by imaging challenges in deep brain areas.
  • The new Deep3P imaging workflow combines microscopy with artificial intelligence, allowing researchers to visualize glioblastoma infiltrating up to 1.2 mm into the brain.
  • The study reveals that glioblastoma primarily invades through blood vessels in the white matter, and identifies potential imaging biomarkers associated with early tumor colonization.

Pupillometry has gained attention as a valuable tool for assessing autonomic nervous system activity and studying phasic changes in pupil size to comprehend underlying neurocognitive mechanisms. However, knowledge regarding pupillary responses to social processing in autism is limited. We conducted a systematic review and meta-analysis, examining research studies on pupil size changes that compare social and non-social stimuli in autism.

Objective: The research aimed to determine whether and which radiomic features from breast dynamic contrast enhanced (DCE) MRI could predict the presence of BRCA1 mutation in patients with triple-negative breast cancer (TNBC).

Material And Methods: This retrospective study included consecutive patients histologically diagnosed with TNBC who underwent breast DCE-MRI in 2010-2021. Baseline DCE-MRIs were retrospectively reviewed; percentage maps of wash-in and wash-out were computed and breast lesions were manually segmented, drawing a 5 mm-Region of Interest (ROI) inside the tumor and another 5 mm-ROI inside the contralateral healthy gland.
