Chronic Disease Management of Early Childhood Dental Caries: Practices of US Pediatric Dentists.

Introduction: Early childhood caries (ECC), dental cavities in children younger than 6 years, is common, consequential, and inequitably concentrated among socially disadvantaged children. The World Health Organization and authoritative clinical and public health agencies promote 4 chronic disease management (CDM) approaches that are low-cost and can be delivered in home and community sites: pharmacologic, behavioral, monitoring, and minimally invasive dentistry (MID). The extent of adoption of these approaches among US pediatric dentists is unknown.

Continuous Glucose Monitoring Among Patients with Type 1 Diabetes in Rwanda (CAPT1D) Phase I: Feasibility Study.

Background: The development of minimally invasive continuous glucose monitoring systems (CGMs) has transformed diabetes management. CGMs have shown clinical significance by improving time in the euglycemic range, decreasing rates of hypoglycemia, and improving HbA1c. In Rwanda, CGMs are currently not in routine use, and no clinical studies of CGM use were identified in the literature.

Traffic as an Urban Health Determinant: Coverage of the New York City Congestion Pricing Plan on TikTok.

Social listening can provide deeper insight into public sentiment regarding policy proposals, as seen with the congestion pricing initiative in New York City (NYC). The purpose of this study was to assess the content of a sample of TikTok videos related to congestion pricing in NYC. A total of 100 unique videos were extracted from the hashtag #nyccongestionpricing on TikTok and coded for the presence of the following information based on four different areas of focus: video metrics, details about pricing plan, effects of pricing plan, and user-related issues.

Wait times for scheduling appointments with hospital affiliated dermatologists in New York City.

Patients' experience accessing dermatologic care is understudied. The purpose of this cross-sectional study was to examine current wait times for new patients to receive dermatological care in NYC. Websites at 58 accredited private and public hospitals in the five boroughs of NYC were reviewed to identify dermatology practices.

YouTube as a Source of Information on Air Pollution: Significance for Community Health.

Air pollution is a pervasive global public health threat. The purpose of this study was to assess the content of 100 widely viewed English language YouTube videos on air pollution using the search term 'air pollution.' Content categories were created using comprehensive fact sheets and were coded as being present or not in each video.
