An Evaluation of Orthotics on In-Toeing or Out-Toeing Gait.

: In-toeing and out-toeing gait are rotational deformities commonly observed in children with neuromuscular conditions. These gait abnormalities often result from internal tibial torsion, increased femoral anteversion, and metatarsus adductus. This study was conducted to create a comprehensive evaluation of the effectiveness of lower extremity orthotics as a non-operative treatment option, given their regular use in clinical settings.

Value-Based Care in Medical Specialties: Improving Hierarchical Condition Category Capture.

Risk adjustment plays a key role in payment, especially in value-based payment models, which use a practice's performance with cost and quality metrics to determine reimbursement. Inaccurate representation of a patient's medical complexity can cause a practice to fall below cost and/or quality performance targets, potentially leading to a substantial loss of shared savings dollars. This quality improvement study evaluated the effectiveness of a clinical documentation excellence program, focused on addressing hierarchical condition category diagnoses, involving the medical specialties.

Assessing the impact of a mandatory calorie labelling policy in out-of-home food outlets in England on consumer behaviour: a natural experimental study.

Background: Out-of-home (OOH) food tends to be energy-dense and nutrient-poor. In response, England implemented a mandatory calorie labelling policy in the OOH sector. We evaluated changes in consumer behaviours after the policy was implemented in April 2022.

Quantifying the ecological role of crocodiles: a 50-year review of metabolic requirements and nutrient contributions in northern Australia.

The ecological roles of large predators are well recognized, but quantifying their functional impacts remains an active area of research. In this study, we examined the metabolic requirements and nutrient outputs of the estuarine crocodile population () in northern Australia over a 50-year period, during which the population increased from a few thousand to over 100 000 individuals. Bioenergetic modelling showed that during this period, the crocodile population's annual prey consumption increased from <20 kg km in 1979 to approximately 180 kg km in 2019.
