Traumatic spinal cord injury (SCI) is a devastating condition for which effective neuroregenerative and neuroreparative strategies are lacking. The post-traumatic disruption of the blood-spinal cord barrier (BSCB) as part of the neurovascular unit (NVU) is one major factor in the complex pathophysiology of SCI, which is associated with edema, inflammation, and cell death in the penumbra regions of the spinal cord adjacent to the lesion epicenter. Thus, the preservation of an intact NVU and vascular integrity to facilitate the regenerative capacity following SCI is a desirable therapeutic target.

Purpose: This study investigates the accuracy of fully-automated maximum aortic diameter measurements in abdominal aortic aneurysm (AAA) patients using artificial intelligence software (PRAEVAorta 2, Nurea, Bordeaux, France).

Materials And Methods: This is a multicenter, retrospective validation study using prospectively collected data from the Zenith alpha for aneurysm Repair Registry (ZEPHYR). Automated measurements of PRAEVAorta 2 are compared with measurements of an internationally recognized core laboratory (Syntactx, New York, New York State).

Goldspire™ is a personalized immunotherapy platform that combines whole tumor-derived cells with antisense oligonucleotide (IMV-001) against Insulin-Like Growth Factor-1 Receptor (IGF-1R) in biodiffusion chambers (BDCs; 0.1 μm pore). BDCs are exposed to 5-6 Gy and implanted at abdominal sites for ∼48 h to deliver an antigenic payload and immunostimulatory factors to train the immune system.

Additionally, we sought to identify predictors for various neurological complications. : This retrospective study was conducted in accordance with the STROBE guidelines, with the aim of reporting neurological outcomes for all patients who underwent open thoracoabdominal aortic aneurysm repair at two centers (Maastricht-Aachen) from 2000 to 2023, and to examine the association between these outcomes and pre- and perioperative parameters.
