Human resources for health: a framework synthesis to put health workers at the centre of healthcare.

Background: Human resources are a key determinant for the quality of healthcare and health outcomes. Several human resource management approaches or practices have been proposed and implemented to better understand and address health workers' challenges with mixed results particularly in low- and middle-income countries (LMICs). The aim of this framework synthesis was to review the human resources frameworks commonly available to address human resources for health issues in LMIC.

A short scale to measure health-related quality of life after traumatic brain injury in children and adolescents (QOLIBRI-OS-KID/ADO): psychometric properties and German reference values.

Purpose: The impact of pediatric traumatic brain injury (pTBI) on health-related quality of life (HRQoL) in children and adolescents remains understudied. Short scales have some advantages in terms of economy and administration over longer scales, especially in younger children. The aim of the present study is to psychometrically evaluate the six-item German version of the QOLIBRI-OS-KID/ADO scale for children and adolescents.

Savings from the introduction of BPaL and BPaLM regimens at the country level.

Background: In 2022, the WHO recommended the 6-month regimens BPaL (bedaquiline + pretomanid + linezolid) and BPaLM (BPaL + moxifloxacin) as treatment options for most forms of drug-resistant TB. SLASH-TB estimates the cost-saving and cost-effectiveness for the healthcare system and patients when a country switches from current standard-of-care treatment regimens to BPaL/BPaLM.

Methodology: Country data from national TB programmes (NTP) are used to calculate the costs for all regimens and treatment outcomes.
