Learning the latent representation of three-dimensional (3D) morphable geometry is useful for several tasks, such as 3D face tracking, human motion analysis, and character generation and animation. For unstructured surface meshes, previous state-of-the-art methods focus on designing convolution operators and share the same pooling and unpooling operations to encode neighborhood information. Previous models use a mesh pooling operation based on edge contraction, which is based on the euclidean distance of vertices rather than the actual topology.

Finite element models that simulate the effects of class II elastics on the mandibular arch in six different scenarios, using various immobilization methods of the posterior dentition, were studied. Per-element distribution of linear elastic stress-strain and total displacement was computed. Maximum strain on the PDL and maximum stress on alveolar bone increased with posterior tip-back and with the use of archwires vs.

Background: Gerbode defect is a congenital or acquired communication between the left ventricle and right atrium. While the defect is becoming a more well-recognized complication of cardiac surgery, it presents a diagnostic and therapeutic challenge for providers. This case highlights the predisposing factors and imaging features that may assist in the diagnosis of Gerbode defect, as well as potential approaches to treatment.

Learning Objectives: After studying this article, the participant should be able to: 1. Describe the A-frame configuration of anterior facial buttresses, recognize the importance of restoring anterior projection in frontal sinus fractures, and describe an alternative design and donor site of pericranial flaps in frontal sinus fractures. 2.
