Objectives: To compare the efficacy of chlorhexidine (CHX) and amine fluoride (AF) toothpastes on oral flora in fixed orthodontic treatment patients.
Methods: Thirteen patients were given toothpaste containing AF, and 12 patients were given toothpaste containing CHX. Microbial and periodontal records were taken before, 1 week, and 5 weeks after the bonding procedure.
Background: Six thoracic pathologists reviewed 259 lung neuroendocrine tumours (LNETs) from the lungNENomics project, with 171 of them having associated survival data. This cohort presents a unique opportunity to assess the strengths and limitations of current World Health Organization (WHO) classification criteria and to evaluate the utility of emerging markers.
Patients And Methods: Patients were diagnosed based on the 2021 WHO criteria, with atypical carcinoids (ACs) defined by the presence of focal necrosis and/or 2-10 mitoses per 2 mm.
ICSI is one of the most commonly used techniques to treat infertility. The sperm selection for the procedure is done 'randomly' by the embryologist according to the motility and morphology parameters which is known not to reflect the potential of a sperm for fertilization, pregnancy and a healthy childbearing. Since the apoptosis rate is higher in sperm cells of infertile patients, it is more likely to choose an apoptotic sperm by the 'random selection method'.
