Purpose: The aim of this retrospective study was to evaluate the prognostic impact of global health status assessment tools in elderly patients with endometrial cancer (EC) on survival.

Methods: Preoperative frailty status was assessed by the G8 geriatric screening tool (G8 Score), Lee Schonberg prognostic index, Charlson Comorbidity index and American Society of Anesthesiologists Physical Status System in women older than 60 years with EC. Univariable and multivariable Cox-regression analyses, as well as Kaplan-Meier survival analyses were performed to determine the prognostic impact.

Stimulated hematopoiesis is observed in the bone marrow of endurance-trained athletes by magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) independent of the hemoglobin concentration (hematocrit or erythrocyte count) or circulating reticulocytes, but may be related to blood volume (BV). This study determined whether hyperplasia of hematopoietic bone marrow of professional cyclists correlates with their red cell volume (RCV). Twelve male professional cyclists (mean +/- SD; 20.

Background: The topic of this article is the quantitative and semiquantitative assessment of bone marrow signal alteration in magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) of the lumbar spine in patients with tumor anemia during therapy with epoietin beta or placebo.

Patients And Methods: We examined 32 patients with head or neck cancer (16 epoietin beta, 16 placebo) during radiotherapy in a double-blind multicenter trial. During radiotherapy, the patients underwent epoietin beta therapy for 7-9 weeks.

Unlabelled: The AIM of this study was to assess the diagnostic value of FDG-PET and conventional imaging (CI) in a large series of patient with Hodgkin's disease (HD) or non-Hodgkin's lymphoma (NHL) at three time points during their course of disease.

Patients, Methods: 169 consecutive lymphoma patients (69 HD; 100 NHL) were included. 193 FDG-PET studies were performed for staging at baseline in 42 cases, for post-therapeutic monitoring in 103, and for diagnosis of recurrence in 48 cases.

Aim: To evaluate the diagnostic value of whole-body magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) and skeletal scintigraphy in the detection of skeletal metastases in patients with solid tumors.

Materials And Methods: One hundred and twenty-nine tumor patients were examined with whole-body MRI using coronal TIRM sequences for the different anatomical regions. Skeletal scintigraphy was performed with 99mTc-DPD.
