Western blot (WB) assays are routinely used for detection and quantification of biomarkers. Although assay validation to measure biomarkers in complex matrices has become a mainstay process for ligand binding assays (LBA) and mass spectrometry (MS), no guidelines exist yet validate biomarker methods using WB techniques. Radioxenon (Xe) was detected in 15 samples and radioargon was detected in 7 from 10 samples analysed. The concentration of radioxenon and radioargon in soil gas ranged up to 109 mBq/m and 19 mBq/m, respectively.

In this cross-sectional study, we used baseline data from the multi-site Longitudinal Research on Aging Drivers (LongROAD) study to examine whether social support moderates the negative association between reduced driving and life satisfaction. The outcome variable was life satisfaction, and the main predictor variable was past-year reduced driving (yes/no).
