Objective: To determine the reproducibility of x-ray technologists, 26 in North America (NA), 24 in Europe (EU), in reliably repositioning patient's osteoarthritic (OA) knees, from computerized measurements of minimum joint space width (JSW) and reproducibility in joint repositioning, during their training for the clinical trial.
Methods: Technologists from 12 NA and 12 EU clinical radiology units received identical training, at one site on each continent, in performing the fluoroscopically assisted semiflexed knee examination and in quality control criteria (QCC) for film acceptance. Subjects recruited were 129 in NA and 70 in EU, with both knees radiographed for some subjects.
Risedronate is a potent pyridinyl bisphosphonate in clinical development for treatment and prevention of osteoporosis, and has been recently approved for treatment of Paget's disease in the United States. An open-label study was conducted to determine the effect of risedronate treatment on pagetic bone lesions in patients with moderate to severe Paget's disease (mean serum alkaline phosphatase levels [ALP] approximately seven times the upper limit of normal). Patients were treated with 30 mg/day oral risedronate for 84 days followed by a 112-day nontreatment period.

Estrogen pellets were removed at seven different time points ranging from 4 to 206 days after pellet implantation. High-resolution mid-sagittal MR images of the rat head were made 1 day before pellet implantation, immediately following pellet withdrawal, and 14 and 28 days after pellet withdrawal.

Alveolar surface tension was elevated by displacement of pulmonary surfactant from the alveolar hypophase by the aerosolized detergent dioctyl sodium sulfosuccinate (OT). After measurement of baseline hemodynamics, arterial blood gases, and airway pressure, the dogs were separated into groups: Group I inhaled a 1% solution of OT (15 mg/kg) in a vehicle of equal parts saline and ethanol; group II inhaled the same volume of vehicle without OT.

We now compare T2G1s to another anti-fibrin MAb, designated GC4, for imaging fresh and aged canine thrombi. GC4 is specific for a neoepitope exposed on fibrin later in the thrombolytic process after plasmin digestion.
