The purpose was to assess whether visual feedback of torque contributes to motor unit (MU) firing rate reduction observed during post-activation potentiation (PAP) of skeletal muscle. From 15 participants 23 MUs were recorded with intramuscular fine-wire electrodes from the tibialis anterior during isometric dorsiflexion contractions at 20% of maximum, with and without both PAP and visual feedback of torque. A 5s maximal voluntary contraction (MVC) was used to induce PAP, and evoked twitch responses were assessed before and after.

The two primary metabolites of metolachlor, metolachlor ethane sulfonic acid (MESA) and metolachlor oxanilic acid (MOXA), retain the same chiral chemistry as their source and are important tracers of nitrate loading from agricultural cropland. New analytical methods for separating the isomers of MESA and MOXA, enable studies assessing changes in the abundance of atropisomer pairs of the carbon chiral enantiomers in environmental samples.

A subsample of 20 mothers (age 23-42) of infants aged 0-6 months who were exposed to body-focused social media posts as part of an experimental study designed to test social media's impact on body dissatisfaction took part in semi-structured interviews. We used thematic analysis to identify themes and subthemes generated from the data.

We report herein the discovery of highly potent and selective SMARCA2 PROTAC degraders, as exemplified by SMD-3236, which was designed using a new, high-affinity SMARCA ligand and a potent VHL-1 ligand. SMD-3236 achieves DC < 1 nM and > 95% against SMARCA2 and >2000-fold degradation selectivity over SMARCA4.
