Article Synopsis
  • - The T2K experiment reports enhanced measurements of neutrino oscillation parameters through new proton-on-target (POT) neutrino data, significantly improving analysis methods with a major focus on the near detector's new selection procedures.
  • - This analysis is the first to utilize data from the NA61/SHINE experiment, helping to refine the neutrino flux model and enhance the neutrino interaction model by incorporating new nuclear effects.
  • - Both frequentist and Bayesian approaches indicate a preference for normal mass ordering and a nearly maximal CP-violating phase, with notable exclusions and constraints on certain parameters aligning with past T2K studies.

Infectious mononucleosis (IM) is a common illness in children and young adults caused primarily by the Epstein-Barr Virus (EBV). Transmission occurs primarily through sharing oral secretions, thus IM is known as the "kissing disease." Common clinical manifestations include fever, pharyngitis, posterior cervical lymphadenopathy, and splenomegaly.

While the literature regarding return to play and recovery protocols from mild traumatic brain injury (mTBI) and sports-related concussions (SRC) is growing, there continues to be a paucity of data regarding when air travel is safe for athletes after sustaining certain brain injuries, such as mTBI and SRC. Although it is known hypoxia can negatively affect severe TBI patients, it is unclear whether mild hypoxia, which may be experienced during commercial air travel, is clinically significant for athletes who have recently sustained mTBI injuries. Further research is required to provide more standardized recommendations on when air travel is safe.

Temporomandibular joint dysfunction is common in both the general population and athletes with a much higher incidence in women than in men. We review current research on temporomandibular joint disorders, discuss relevant risk factors, manifestations of temporomandibular disorders in athletes, and treatment options. Certain sports, particularly contact sports, pose an increased risk for problems with the temporomandibular joint.

DUNE is a dual-site experiment for long-baseline neutrino oscillation studies, neutrino astrophysics and nucleon decay searches. ProtoDUNE Dual Phase (DP) is a 6   6   6 m liquid argon time-projection-chamber (LArTPC) that recorded cosmic-muon data at the CERN Neutrino Platform in 2019-2020 as a prototype of the DUNE Far Detector. Charged particles propagating through the LArTPC produce ionization and scintillation light.
