Breast Cancer Res Treat
March 2025
Purpose: Underweight women and those with obesity, defined as having a body mass index (BMI) ≥ 30 kg/m, diagnosed with breast cancer (BC) are known to have worse prognosis. Whether BMI impacts BC stage at diagnosis and BC specific survival (BCSS) is not understood. We aim to better understand the relationship between BMI with stage at BC diagnosis and BCSS.

Pooled analyses were performed on safety data from the 5-week, randomized, double-blind, placebo-controlled, inpatient EMERGENT-1, EMERGENT-2, and EMERGENT-3 trials of xanomeline/ trospium in adults with schizophrenia with a recent worsening of psychosis requiring hospitalization. Adverse events (AEs) including extrapyramidal motor symptoms (EPS), vital signs, and clinical laboratory values were monitored.

The Measurement and Treatment Research to Improve Cognition in Schizophrenia (MATRICS) initiative in the early 2000s marked a pivotal moment for drug development, establishing consensus on methodology for treatment studies, including assessment strategies and trial designs, for cognitive impairment associated with schizophrenia (CIAS). Despite extensive industry-sponsored and academic drug development efforts over the last 2 decades using these strategies no pharmacological treatments have been approved for CIAS.

Methods: We evaluated the relationship between axillary surgery type (sentinel lymph node [SLN] only vs. axillary lymph node dissection [ALND]) and 5-year outcomes in I-SPY2 trial patients from 2011 to 2022 who completed NAC and surgery.
Background: Experiential negative symptoms (NS) are determinants of disability in schizophrenia (SCZ). Xanomeline/Trospium Chloride (X/T), an M1/M4 muscarinic receptor agonist, is an approved monotherapy for treatment of schizophrenia, including NS. We used remote ecological momentary assessments (EMA) to track changes in indicators of NS during 12 months of outpatient treatment with X/T.
