The provision of social care for people in prison in England has historically been lacking. Seeking to address this, the 2014 Care Act clarified that local authorities are responsible for identifying, assessing and meeting prisoners' social care needs. Combinatorial and guided screening of materials space with density-functional theory and related approaches has provided a wealth of hypothetical inorganic materials, which are increasingly tabulated in open databases. The OPTIMADE API is a standardised format for representing crystal structures, their measured and computed properties, and the methods for querying and filtering them from remote resources. Currently, the OPTIMADE federation spans over 20 data providers, rendering over 30 million structures accessible in this way, many of which are novel and have only recently been suggested by machine learning-based approaches.

Article Synopsis
  • - This study investigates how various predictor domains contribute to predicting dementia in older adults and aims to improve a basic dementia risk prediction model (DRPM) by adding five different types of predictors.
  • - Using data from the UK Biobank, the researchers collected 55 predictors grouped into clinical history, questionnaires, cognitive tests, genetic risk, and neuroimaging to analyze their impact on predicting all-cause dementia, Alzheimer's disease, and vascular dementia.
  • - The findings showed that neuroimaging yielded the highest added value for predicting dementia types, suggesting that using a combination of different predictor domains can enhance prediction accuracy, although selecting predictors involves some trade-offs.

Background And Aims: Recommendations for stopping nucleoside analogue (NA) therapy in hepatitis B e antigen-negative chronic hepatitis B (CHB) are unclear. End-of-treatment quantitative hepatitis B serum antigen (EOTqHBsAg) thresholds <100 IU/mL or <1000 IU/mL have been proposed as stopping criteria, which we assessed by meta-analysis and meta-regression.

Methods: We searched PubMed, EMBASE, and conference abstracts for studies of hepatitis B e antigen-negative CHB NA discontinuation.
