Purpose: to report optical coherence tomography angiography findings in syphilitic outer retinopathy, a singular clinical manifestation of ocular syphilis.
Methods: case report.
Results: Multimodal imaging including optical coherence tomography angiography was performed in a patient presenting syphilitic outer retinopathy.
Objective: To determine the frequency of pregnancy in patients submitted to uterine artery embolization (UAE) for the treatment of uterine leiomyomas who undergo medical follow-up at a clinic in Belo Horizonte.
Methods: This study consists of a retrospective cohort study. It is based on data analysis of electronic medical records of patients who underwent the embolization procedure for uterine leiomyomas between March 2003 and March 2018.
Background: To improve the diagnostic accuracy of the state of consciousness of patients with severe brain injury, Giacino et al. introduced the Coma Recovery Scale (CRS) in 1991, which underwent revision in 2004, resulting in the revised CRS scale (CRS-R).
Objective: To determine the concurrent validity, as well as inter- and intrarater agreement of the CRS-R's adaptation to Brazilian Portuguese.

Background And Aim: Primary sclerosing cholangitis (PSC) has been shown to recur after liver transplantation (LT). Some studies have identified certain clinical and laboratory variables associated with an increased risk for recurrent PSC (rPSC) in Caucasians. Furthermore, de novo cholangiocarcinoma (CCA) has been reported anecdotally in patients with rPSC.

It is unknown if these cut-points perform adequately in Hispanic individuals. We assessed the performance characteristics of current NIT cut-points among Hispanic patients and determined whether they could be further optimized.
