Objective: In this study, changes in treatment methods and patient prognosis were analyzed using a Korean nationwide medical insurance information database.
Methods: Patients with subarachnoid hemorrhage who received surgical treatment for cerebral aneurysm from 2005 to 2020 were included. The specific surgery type was classified using the surgical code and according to whether stents were used.
Aim: To share our clinical insights into octogenarian patients with unruptured intracranial aneurysms (UIAs) and evaluate the treatment strategies for this demographic.
Material And Methods: A retrospective analysis was conducted on data from 134 patients with a follow-up exceeding 6 months, all enrolled in this study. We assessed the incidence rates (IRs) of aneurysm growth and rupture, along with potential predictors of aneurysm growth.
Objective: Shunt-dependent hydrocephalus is a major complication of aneurysmal subarachnoid hemorrhage (SAH). Despite this, the factors influencing shunt dependency and shunt failure remain unclear. Therefore, the aim of this study was to estimate shunt dependency and failure rates and determine the contributing factors in patients with aneurysmal SAH using the Korean National Health Insurance database over a 13-year period.

We discuss the need for a central venous catheter (CVC) insertion as an anesthetic preparation for microsurgical clipping.
Methods: Between January 2019 and September 2019, 722 patients with UIA were treated at our institution.
Primary glioblastoma develops without clinical or histological evidence of a low-grade precursor lesion, whereas secondary glioblastoma develops from a low-grade glioma. We recently experienced a case of vertebral artery dissecting aneurysm and obtained good treatment outcomes. Our case suggests that the endovascular segmental occlusion with posterior inferior cerebellar artery (PICA) to PICA side anastomosis might be a good treatment option in patients with complex vertebral artery dissecting aneurysms.

Objective: Removal of the anterior clinoid process (ACP) is an essential process in the surgery of giant or complex aneurysms located near the proximal internal carotid artery or the distal basilar artery. An extradural clinoidectomy must be performed within the limits of the meningeal layers surrounding the ACP to prevent morbid complications. To identify the safest method of extradural exposure of the ACP, anatomical studies were done on cadaver heads.
