Methods: Using population-based case-control studies (6985 cases, 6569 controls), subjects with different genotypes and smoking, EBNA-1 status and adolescent Body Mass status, were compared regarding MS risk, by calculating OR with 95% CI employing logistic regression. The interaction between different genotypes and each environmental factor was evaluated on the additive scale.

Aims: We examined the efficacy and safety of dapagliflozin, compared with placebo, according to aetiology in patients with heart failure (HF) with reduced ejection fraction (HFrEF) enrolled in the Dapagliflozin And Prevention of Adverse-outcomes in Heart Failure trial (DAPA-HF).
Methods And Results: Aetiology was investigator-reported and categorized as ischaemic or non-ischaemic. The primary outcome was the composite of an episode of worsening HF or cardiovascular death.

Objective: Because obesity affects the cellular immune response to infections, we aimed to investigate whether high body mass index (BMI) in young adulthood and high Epstein-Barr nuclear antigen 1 (EBNA-1) antibody levels interact with regard to MS risk. We also aimed at exploring potential 3-way interactions between BMI at age 20 years, aspects of Epstein-Barr virus (EBV) infection (high EBNA-1 antibody levels and infectious mononucleosis [IM] history, respectively) and the human leukocyte antigen allele.
Methods: Using Swedish population-based case-control studies (5,460 cases and 7,275 controls), we assessed MS risk in relation to interactions between overweight/obesity at age 20 years, IM history, EBNA-1 levels, and status by calculating ORs with 95% CIs using logistic regression.
Background: Despite the advancement of scientific research in the field of maternity care, midwives face challenges translating latest evidence into evidence-based practice (EBP) and express reticence towards leading practice change in clinical areas. This study aimed to explore midwifery leaders' views on what factors help or hinder midwives' efforts to translate latest evidence into everyday practice and consider them in relation to both the Capability, Opportunity, Motivation and Behaviour (COM-B) model and Theoretical Domains Framework (TDF).

It was recently established that the nanowires of both and are made of multi-heme proteins; but, while employs the 20-heme protein complex MtrCAB, uses a redox polymer made of the hexa-heme protein OmcS, begging the question as to which protein architecture is more efficient in terms of long-range electron transfer. Using a multiscale computational approach we find that OmcS supports electron flows about an order of magnitude higher than MtrCAB due to larger heme-heme electronic couplings and better insulation of hemes from the solvent.
