Article Synopsis
- The study evaluated the residue levels of spinosad (SPN) and abamectin (ABM) in eggs and edible tissues of laying hens after spray application to control external parasites.
- A total of 36 hens were treated with different concentrations of SPN and ABM, and eggs were collected for 30 days, with hens sacrificed afterward for tissue analysis.
- While ABM residues were undetectable in eggs, SPN levels were within safe limits for eggs and most tissues; however, higher residues were found in skin tissue, suggesting a necessary withdrawal period post-treatment.
