The permanent preservation of objects in global custodianship is a captivating ideal that informs countless museums' corporate identities and governs collection guidelines as well as politics. Recent research has challenged the alleged perpetuity of collections and collected items, revealing their coherence as fragile and dependent on historically, politically and culturally specific conditions. Duplicates offer an instructive point of entry to explore the idea of collection permanence, museum politics, and the mobility of museum objects.

In contrast, this article maintains, this practice occurred all along the chain of collecting, where indigenous artefacts operated as items of exchange in the context of the colonial encounter. Using the example of German New Guinea, the article maintains that epistemological concerns, as symbolic currency both in terms of inter-museum exchange and in terms of contributing to individual and institutional prestige, guiding ethnographic intuitions had little influence on colonial resident collectors.

Methods: This study uses mixed-effects regression modeling to examine the association between two objective measures and one subjective measure of neighborhood quality and AL in an ethnically diverse population-based sample (N = 2706) from a medium-sized Texas city.
Research suggests a linkage between perceptions of neighborhood quality and the likelihood of engaging in leisure-time physical activity. Often in these studies, intra-neighborhood variance is viewed as something to be controlled for statistically. However, we hypothesized that intra-neighborhood variance in perceptions of neighborhood quality may be contextually relevant.

Methods: Dating it Safe is an ongoing longitudinal (2010-2016) survey of emerging adults recruited from seven high schools in five south-east Texas-area school districts (current sample n=684).
The presence of residues of tetracycline, quinolones and antiparasitic drugs was investigated in wild fish captured around salmon aquaculture pens in Cochamó, Region X, Chile. Residues of both antibiotics were found in the meta [corrected] of two species of wild fish that are consumed by humans, robalo (Elginops maclovinus) and cabrilla (Sebastes capensis) [corrected] These findings suggest that the antibiotic usage in salmon aquaculture in Chile has nvironmental implications that may affect human and animal health. More studies are needed in Chile to determine the relevance of these findings for human and animal health and the environment to regulate this use of antibiotics.

Budotitane (1) crystallizes in the tetragonal, non-centrosymmetric space group P4(1) with two molecules in the asymmetric unit. Both molecules adopt the cis-cis-trans configuration with the acetyl ends of the benzoylacetonate ligands in the trans position.

The objective of this study was to better elucidate the composition of the hypertrophic cirrhotic liver. We induced cirrhosis with hypertrophy in rats by simultaneous treatment with CCl4 and phenobarbital (PB) and devised a hierarchy of structure applicable to the sampling and morphometric analysis of untreated and PB-treated control livers and of cirrhotic livers. Our analysis demonstrated that the hepatomegaly attributable to cirrhosis is virtually the total result of an increase in the specific volume (ml/100 g body weight) of the non-parenchyma, most of which is connective tissue and vascular lumen volume.

By electron microscopy the crystals were electron dense and elongated with sharp edges and had an apparent lamination. The crystals were found within portal or granuloma macrophages and were often displaced or associated with section tears and knife marks.
