This article presents a review of the literature on studying Cilostazol, a type 3 phosphodiesterase inhibitor, also providing the Russian and foreign statistics on the prevalence of peripheral artery disease. It is underlined that the majority of patients with peripheral artery disease have atherosclerotic lesions in the coronary and cerebral vascular basins. Cilostazol deservedly occupies the first lines in the sections of pharmacotherapy for intermittent claudication in international and Russian consensus documents on peripheral artery disease.

Material And Methods: It was performed retrospective analysis of 570 patients with DFS (2015-2017): group I - neuropathic form (n=285), group II - neuroischemic form (n=285). Patients were classified according to Texas grade.
Analysed herein are one-year results of formation of arteriovenous fistulas in 109 patients with end-stage chronic renal failure, as well as therapeutic decision-making after angiosurgical counselling of 144 patients presenting with 'problem' permanent vascular accesses. The counselling and formation of arteriovenous fistulas were carried out in conditions of interdepartmental collaboration between outpatient centres dealing with haemodialysis and vascular surgeons specialized in ultrasound mapping of peripheral vessels and performing different variants of arteriovenous fistulas. The angiosurgical care was as close to the patient as possible.

The patients were divided into three groups: Group One consisted of 63 patients subjected to short stripping of the GSV trunk + treatment of the perforant veins (66.7%); Group Two comprised 61 patients undergoing endovenous laser coagulation (EVLC) of the GSV trunk + EVLC of the perforant veins (73.

This case by salvage of the supporting leg could have been considered unpromising without the use of the methods of therapeutic angiogenesis. The use of Neovasculgen(®) made it possible to obtain an optimal result with rehabilitation of the patient and preserving the initial level of his quality of life.

Most often special medical care was sought by persons of able-bodied age (31-60 years): men - 60.6%, women - 63.

A further thirteen patients without TCRI composed the control group. The TCRI patients were subdivided into two groups: Group One (n=20) with a distal variant of the Cimino-type AVF, 21 vascular accesses, and Group Two (n=15) with a proximal variant of AFV, 16 accesses using a synthetic vascular prosthesis (SVP).

The paper presents the results of DEFANS trial (Detralex - assessment of efficacy and safety for combined phlebectomy). The study enrolled 245 patients with varicose vein disease, who underwent unilateral combined phlebectomy. The main group (n=200) received micronized diosmin (Detralex, 1000 mg/day) for 2 weeks before and 30 days after the procedure; control group (n=45) did not receive Detralex in pre- and postoperative period.

This paper analyzes the immediate and long-term (5-year), results of 251 reconstructive operations accomplished for critical lower limb ischemia in 240 patients (stage III chronic arterial insufficiency was present in 135 and stage IV in 105 patients), with introduction of the unified criteria. The outcomes were compared in patients who had undergone revascularization above the Poupart's ligament -- 149 cases (100 cases of proximal reconstruction and 49 of two-level reconstruction) and beneath the Poupart's ligament (102 cases) as dependent on the stage and character of reattachment of the limb peripheral system. The study of the changes in the patients' status, the shifts in hemodynamics, the cumulative bypass patency and limb salvage has revealed the great priority of the choice of two-level reconstructions in patients with multilevel occlusions in stage IV chronic limb arterial insufficiency.

Authors present 7-year follow up of 567 patients with initial forms of chronic venous insufficiency (CVI) of lower extremities (442 patients with C-1 class and 125 patients with C-2 class). The analysis of individual clinical and ultrasonic data has shown wide variability and the lack of specificity in CVI symptomatology. Ultrasonic investigation revealed veno-venous reflux in 74.
