Objectives: Cerebral vasospasm is one of the most fatal complications after spontaneous aneurysmal subarachnoid hemorrhage. Although various treatments have been tried for the treatment of cerebral vasospasm so far, the effect is insignificant or temporary except for oral nimodipine. Phosphodiesterase isozyme type 5 inhibitor, which is used to treat erection dysfunction, recently has been known to have a cerebrovascular vasodilation.

Vitrimers have shown advantages over conventional thermosets via capabilities of dynamic network rearrangement to endow repairability as well as recyclability. Based on such characteristics, vitrimers have been studied and have shown promises as a 3D printing ink material that can be recycled with the purpose of waste reduction. However, despite the brilliant approaches, there still remain limitations regarding requirement of new reagents for recycling the materials or reprintability issues.

Despite the rapidly growing understanding of germline variants in driving aggressive prostate cancer and the increased availability of genetic testing, there is little evidence surrounding how best to screen these men.
Methods: We are reporting on the first 45 patients enrolled, men between the ages of 35-75, primarily with known pathogenic germline variants in prostate cancer susceptibility genes.
Decompressive craniectomy is a potentially life-saving neurosurgical procedure. In cases of insufficient decompression, uncontrolled intracranial pressure even after sufficient decompression, or when the intracranial pressure is increased due to external factors such as intramuscular hematoma in the temporal muscle, additional temporalis resection may be necessary. However, the hollowing of the supratemporal fossa that occurs after additional temporalis resection can create a major cosmetic problem.

Although calcium channel blockers (CCBs) have been widely applied in this setting, studies comparing their efficacies and durations of action have been few.

The current study aimed to compare the fusion rate of DBM to the fusion rate of autograft in lumbar spine fusion via meta-analysis of published literature. After systematic search, comparative studies were selected according to eligibility criteria.

This study aimed to evaluate the efficacy of collagen matrix inlay graft compared with other techniques in a propensity score-matched cohort.
Methods: Between 2000 and 2019, 176 consecutive patients who underwent posterior fossa surgery were enrolled.
Background: The 2017 American College of Cardiology and American Heart Association guideline defined hypertension as blood pressure (BP) ≥ 130/80 mmHg compared to the traditional definition of ≥140/90 mmHg. This change raised much controversy. We conducted this study to compare the impact of tight (TBPC) versus standard BP control (SBPC) on the incidence of myocardial infarction (MI) and stroke.

The case presents acute ischemic stroke with no underlying risk factors and subsequent new diagnosis of primary biliary cholangitis, which can suggest possible association between primary biliary cholangitis and acute stroke.

She was diagnosed with posterior ischemic optic neuropathy. Cushingoid features such as buffalo hump and central obesity might have attributed in triggering posterior ischemic optic neuropathy.

These two lesions were thought to have interfered with the disease onset and deterioration. A 30-year-old man presented with sudden neck pain and orthostatic headache.

Objective: The laboratory biomarkers used to diagnose spinal infection include white blood cell (WBC) counts, erythrocyte sedimentation rate (ESR), and C-reactive protein (CRP). Recently, procalcitonin (PCT) has been used as a biomarker to distinguish between bacterial infection and non-bacterial infection. We aimed to compare the changes of conventional biomarker and PCT in patients with spinal infection before and after antibiotic treatment.

Methods: A total of 606 patients who underwent transrectal ultrasound of the prostate (TRUS) were retrospectively reviewed. Patients were divided into two groups based on the presence of MPCs for comparison.
Hepatocellular carcinoma is one of the most common liver malignancies in the United States. Poor prognosis is associated with paraneoplastic syndromes such as hypercalcemia, hypercholesterolemia, or hypoglycemia. Hypercalcemia as a paraneoplastic syndrome of hepatocellular carcinoma has been rarely reported.

No previous studies have reported on reduction measures using long tab percutaneous pedicle screws for spondylolisthesis. Additional intraoperative correction has been proposed with the "swing" technique.

Methods: We performed a retrospective review of our prospectively maintained institutional database to identify all patients with recurrent CVS and treated with stent-retrievers between April 2011 and May 2017. All patients were initially treated with intra-arterial (IA) vasodilators and were subsequently re-treated with stent-retrievers if they developed recurrent vasospasm.
Background: Known facts are that a long period of central catheterization or hemodialysis causes central venous occlusion or stenosis and its further development brings about superior vena cava syndrome. Major symptoms of superior vena cava syndrome include venous congestion caused by the occlusion or stenosis of the central vein in the sites of the head, face, neck, and upper extremity. Clinical manifestations of superior vena cava syndrome are less likely to cause intracranial hypertension, and intracranial venous hypertension does not appear to be a clinical symptom of cavernous sinus-dural arteriovenous fistula.

An uncommon cutaneous side effect of docetaxel is scleroderma-like skin changes that extend from limited to diffuse cutaneous systemic sclerosis.

However, it remains unclear whether they are significantly associated with lower urinary tract symptoms (LUTS). Our objective was to evaluate the association between prostatic calculi and LUTS with a focus on "calculi burden" because no studies have investigated prostatic calculi using "calculi burden" as an indicator.

The aim of our study was to evaluate whether the interval from prostate biopsy to radical prostatectomy affects immediate operative outcomes, with a focus on differences in surgical approach. The study population of 1,848 radical prostatectomy patients was divided into two groups according to the surgical approach: open or minimally invasive.
