Effective Management of Severe Amlodipine/Atenolol Overdose with Intravenous Calcium, Hyperinsulinemic Euglycemia Therapy, and Continuous Veno-Venous Hemodialysis: A Case Report.

BACKGROUND Amlodipine, a calcium channel blocker, and atenolol, a beta blocker, are commonly used as a fixed drug combination (FDC) to treat hypertension. Intentional or non-intentional overdose of amlodipine-atenolol results in hypotension and myocardial depression with a high risk of mortality. This report describes a 64-year-old man with an overdose of amlodipine-atenolol, presenting as an emergency with hypotension, bradycardia, and severe metabolic acidosis.

Aortic sarcoma: a challenging diagnosis.

Sarcomas of the aorta are rare tumours with various clinical presentations. The most common symptoms are embolic events, constitutional symptoms, claudication, abdominal complaints, aneurysm/pseudoaneurysm, back pain and hypertension. We present a case of a woman in her early 60s having fever, fatigue and cough for 3 months.

Endoscopic Orbital Decompression for Graves' Orbitopathy - A Vietnam Study.

Purpose: To evaluate the efficacy and safety of endoscopic orbital decompression in patients with Graves' orbitopathy.

Patients And Methods: This is a prospective study in Hanoi Medical University and a Military Hospital from December 2017 to December 2018. Twenty-eight orbits of fifteen patients were undergoing endoscopic orbital decompression for Graves' orbitopathy.
