Background: In our previous study, we demonstrated that headaches are highly prevalent among medical students in Vietnam. In the present study, we provide estimates of the associated symptom burden and impaired participation, utilizing these estimates to assess headache-related healthcare needs within this population.
Methods: The study followed the standardized methodology established by the Global Campaign against Headache.
This paper presents a novel and comprehensive control framework for the Rotary Inverted Pendulum (RIP), focusing on a hybrid control strategy that addresses the limitations of conventional methods in nonlinear and complex systems. The proposed controller synergistically combines an Optimized Fuzzy Logic Controller (OFLC) with Sliding Mode Control (SMC), leveraging the strengths of both techniques to achieve superior performance. The integration of Particle Swarm Optimization (PSO) into the OFLC significantly enhances its adaptability and precision, while the SMC law provides robust disturbance rejection and system stability.

Experimental Design: This is a retrospective study with a cohort of 216 patients with advanced sarcoma treated with ICIs between 2016-2023 at Stanford Health Care. Overall survival (OS), progression free survival (PFS), objective response rates per RECIST criteria (ORR), and reason for ICI discontinuation were analyzed across histologic subtypes, ICI regimens, tumor mutational burden (TMB), and PD-L1 expression.

Soft tissue and bone sarcomas are a heterogenous group of uncommon mesenchymal tumors with high unmet needs for novel therapeutic and diagnostic strategies. Despite many challenges that persist, innovative therapeutics are emerging. Here we provide a review of the studies presented at the 2024 American Society of Clinical Oncology annual meeting that were focused on sarcoma.

To address this situation, advanced photocatalysts have been developed. Here, NiFeO/g-CN was synthesized for the photocatalytic degradation of Rhodamine B (RhB) dye in the presence of HO and visible light.

Purpose: Brain metastases (BM) in sarcomas occur rarely and are associated with poor prognosis. This study is a large retrospective cohort describing the demographic and clinical characteristics of these patients, treatment strategies, and survival outcomes.
Methods: In total, 81 patients with BM from sarcomas were identified across five sarcoma centers.
We developed an automated high-throughput Smart-seq3 (HT Smart-seq3) workflow that integrates best practices and an optimized protocol to enhance efficiency, scalability, and method reproducibility. This workflow consistently produces high-quality data with high cell capture efficiency and gene detection sensitivity. In a rigorous comparison with the 10X platform using human primary CD4 + T-cells, HT Smart-seq3 demonstrated higher cell capture efficiency, greater gene detection sensitivity, and lower dropout rates.

Method: Wave speed (WS) was noninvasively measured in the lesions at three different frequencies (i.e.
Background: We aimed to examine whether PTEN pathogenic variants (mutPTEN) were associated with overall survival (OS) in patients with advanced soft tissue sarcoma (STS) with the presence of one or more of the most common genomic alterations including p53, CDKN2A, RB1, and ATRX pathogenic variants.
Methods: This study included patients from Kaiser Permanente Northern California and Stanford Cancer Center with grade 2 or higher locally advanced and metastatic STS.
Results: A total of 174 patients had leiomyosarcoma (LMS), 136 had undifferentiated pleomorphic sarcoma (UPS), 78 had Liposarcoma (LPS), and 214 had other histology subtypes (Others).

Summary Of Background Data: Although pseudoangina is most commonly caused by cervical disc herniation, several cases have been described where thoracic herniation produced symptoms of pseudoangina. If thoracic herniation can produce angina-like pain, then it is important to consider whether pathology of the thoracolumbar spine, in general, can trigger false pain syndromes distinct from pseudoangina.
Objective: We seek to provide the most comprehensive study regarding the diagnosis and treatment of spinal conditions causing false pain syndromes.
Background A growing number of studies suggest that anemia caused by () infection is prevalent in developing countries. A combination of eradication and iron supplementation may be effective in treating iron deficiency anemia (IDA) caused by infection. The aim of this study is to assess the prevalence, risk factors, and treatment outcomes of anemia in Vietnamese school-age children infected with H.

The COVID-19 pandemic and other influencing factors disrupted freight movement and led to unprecedented cargo surge, vessel congestion, and increased air pollution and greenhouse gas emissions from seaport and connected freight system operations beginning in June 2020. In this study, we conducted the first comprehensive monthly assessment of the excess particulate matter, oxides of nitrogen (NO), and carbon dioxide (CO) emissions due to the heightened congestion and freight transport activity from ocean-going vessels (OGVs), trucks, locomotives, and cargo handling equipment (CHE) supporting seaport operations.

Sequence type (ST) 45 is a globally spread clone with increasing clinical prevalence in Taiwan. Our previous study showed that among the CC45 isolates, the spa type t1081 isolates presented greater hemolytic activity.

At 3 days post-injury (dpi), there was noticeable structural damage to brain tissue and reduced neuronal proliferation in the telencephalon that persisted until 30 dpi. Neurobehavioral deficits observed at 3 dpi included decreased exploratory and social activities and impaired learning and memory (L/M) functions; all of these resolved by 7 dpi.
