In the present study, the effects of coenzyme Q10 (CoQ10), which is widely used in daily life, on the methotrexate (MTX)-induced hepatotoxicity, which is widely used today in malignancies and autoimmune diseases, were examined. Twenty-four female Wistar albino rats were divided into four groups. The group 1 ( = 6) was given 1 mL corn oil by oral gavage (p.

This study aims to evaluate the impact of the timing of dose reductions on progression-free survival (PFS) and overall survival (OS) in a real-world cohort.
Methods: This single-center, retrospective study included patients treated with ribociclib or palbociclib between 2019 and 2023 at a cancer center in Turkey.
Background: The incidence of non-alcoholic fatty liver disease (NAFLD) is increasing with obesity, and it is believed that the ongoing low-grade inflammation in obesity and alterations in the enterohepatic axis contributing this process. This study aimed to determine the role of fecal calprotectin (FC) as inflammatory biomarker in obesity and NAFLD.
Methods: Between November 2022-August 2023, 31 obese and 10 healthy adolescents aged between 10 and 18 years enrolled in this prospective controlled study.
In the present study, porous calcium alginate films have been developed by the addition of 0.02, 0.1, and 0.

Objective: To investigate the co-existence of single and multiple anthropometric failures among children using an extended composite index of anthropometric failure (ECIAF). This study aims to elucidate the complex interplay between child-specific and maternal factors, highlighting the multifaceted nature of childhood malnutrition.
Design: A multicentre cross-sectional study as part of the BESLEN project.

Background: Contrast-induced nephropathy (CIN) defined as an acute kidney injury following the administration of iodinated contrast medium (CM). Hysterosalpingography (HSG) is a radiologic procedure used to investigate the shape and structure of the uterine cavity and the patency of the fallopian tubes in the evaluation of infertility. To date, there have been no reports evaluating the development of CIN after HSG procedure.

We aim to summarize current literature on the applications of VR-haptics in learning, practicing, and teaching dental education.
Methods: A literature search was performed using PubMed, focusing on research articles published between January 2010 and January 2024.
Background: Accurately measured or estimated reference evapotranspiration (ET) data are needed to properly manage water resources and prioritise their future uses. ET can be most accurately measured using lysimeter systems. However, high installation and operating costs, as well as difficult and time-consuming measurement processes limit the use of these systems.

This study compared the effect of two treatment modalities, CAPD and HD, on left ventricular systolic and diastolic functions in maintenance dialysis patients.
Methods: A total of 47 patients (24 CAPD and 23 HD) undergoing long-term dialysis were included in the study.
Background: Antiphospholipid Syndrome (APS) is one of the most common acquired causes of hypercoagulability. The 2023 American College of Rheumatology (ACR) / European Alliance of Associations for Rheumatology (EULAR) APS Classification Criteria were specified as new APS classification criteria with high specificity for use in observational studies and research. The primary objective of this study was to evaluate the performance of the 2023 ACR/EULAR APS classification criteria in a real-world rheumatology department.

Although a few studies have reported the toxicity of NPs on cells, they have generally been restricted to a limited variety of NPs, inappropriate cell lines, or culture methods. Thus, the adverse effects remain inadequately understood, necessitating further analysis.

Methods: Following baseline clinical assessments, including the Turesky modification of the Quigley-Hein plaque index (TQHI), gingival index (GI), bleeding on probing (BOP), and probing pocket depth (PPD), all patients received nonsurgical periodontal therapy. Patients were then randomly assigned to one of three groups: conventional toothbrush (C-TB), orthodontic toothbrush (O-TB), or single-tufted toothbrush (ST-TB).

Background: This study examined the effect of ethylenediaminetetraacetic acid (EDTA) and etidronic acid (HEDP) in retrograde cavities on the bond strength of MTA Angelus and NeoPutty.
Methods: Sixty-six teeth with single roots and canals were decoronated and enlarged up to F3 using the ProTaper Universal file system. After removing the apical 3 mm within the scope of endodontic surgery procedures, retrograde cavities were prepared with ultrasonic tips.
SPiReL is a phase II clinical trial evaluating combination immunotherapy, pembrolizumab and cyclophosphamide, with maveropepimut-S, in survivin-expressing relapsed/refractory (R/R) Diffuse Large B Cell Lymphoma (DLBCL). We describe baseline tumor survivin expression and associations with clinico-pathological variables in 25 participants. The median number of survivin-expressing cells was 99%, and the intensity of survivin expression within tumors was heterogeneous by semi-quantitative immunohistochemistry assessment.

Purpose: This bibliometric and scientometric analysis aimed to delve into the forefront roles of lasers in endodontics from 1990 to 2024.
Methods: A comprehensive electronic search was conducted using "Clarivate Analytics Web of Science, All Databases" to retrieve the most-cited articles pertaining to the topic. These articles were then ranked in descending order according to their citation counts and the top 100 were selected for further analysis.
Objective: This study investigates the therapeutic effects of colchicine and melatonin on endometriotic implants in an experimentally created endometriosis model in rats.
Study Design: Forty-four adult female Wistar albino rats weighing between 260 and 300 g, 8 weeks old, were selected for the study. The unilateral uterine horn of rats with a bicornuate uterus was excised for 1 cm, washed with sterile saline, incised longitudinally, and the endometrium was exposed.
Background: Multiple myeloma (MM) is a plasma cell neoplasm, which accounts for 1-2% of cancers and approximately 17% of hematological malignancies in the United States each year. Fifty percent of patients with symptomatic MM have three or more primary care visits before being referred to a specialist, which is greater than any other cancer. A delay in the diagnosis of multiple myeloma has been shown to negatively impact the clinical course of the disease; patients with longer diagnostic intervals have been shown to experience shorter disease-free survival and higher rates of treatment-related complications.

Supercooled preservation (SCP) is a technology that involves cooling a substance below its freezing point without initiating ice crystal formation. It is a promising alternative to prolong the preservation time of cells, tissues, engineered tissue products, and organs compared to the current practices of hypothermic storage. Two-dimensional (2D) engineered tissues are extensively used in research for drug screening and development and investigation of disease progression.
