Background: In triple-negative breast cancer (TNBC) patients receiving adjuvant capecitabine, the impact of HER2 expression on survival outcomes is unclear.
Methods: Between June 2017 and December 2023, 112 patients with TNBC who received adjuvant capecitabine due to residual masses after neoadjuvant chemotherapy (NACT) in three hospitals were identified. HER2 is analyzed through immunohistochemistry (IHC) and/or in situ hybridization in the core biopsy and/or post-surgical histopathologies.
Chitosan/oxidized cellulose blended film with Tribulus terrestris (T. terrestris) extract films were successfully produced by casting method. The obtained blend films were characterized by structural, mechanical, optical, permeation, antioxidant, and antimicrobial properties.

Although various techniques have been defined for varicocele treatment, varicocelectomy with the pulling technique was first defined in 2017. The aim of this retrospective study is to compare the effectiveness and reliability of subinguinal microsurgical varicocelectomy with the "pulling" technique and conventional subinguinal varicocelectomy.

In this study, we investigated the effects of TENS on pain scores, additional opioid doses, opioid-related side effects, and potential respiratory and cardiac complications.
Method: In this controlled, randomized study, 40 patients underwent muscle-sparing thoracotomy.
In recent years, the role of functional foods in addressing various health issues, including cancer, has gained significant attention. Among these, the cytotoxic and apoptotic properties of Malatya apricots hold particular interest for their potential therapeutic benefits. This study focused on exploring the effects of methanol and acetone extracts from four popular Malatya apricot varieties-Hacıhaliloğlu, Hasanbey, Kabaaşı, and Soğancı-on cancer cell lines.

Patients who underwent RIRS between 2017 and 2021 in six referral centers were retrospectively included in the study. The database of the RIRsearch group, which was formed prospectively, was used for this retrospective analysis.

Background: Hallux valgus correction is mostly done by metatarsal procedures, and widely accepted strategy is to decide which surgical method should be used is based on radiological severity using intermetatarsal (IMA) and hallux valgus (HVA) angles (classical angular correction approach-CACA). The aim of the study is to compare the postoperative improvement in radiographic parameters and morphologic appearance of the foot between patients operated with and without adhering to CACA strategy based on classical severity classification using angle measurements.
Materials And Methods: A retrospective comparative study between two groups (conforming and not conforming to proposed algorithm) was performed.
Background: Nutritional profiles and guidelines are determined by various associations to ensure optimum health of cats and provide pet food manufacturers nutritional recommendations to ensure the well-balanced and nutritionally adequate pet food.
Objectives: It was aimed to determine some trace elements and macro minerals in prescription and non-prescription dry cat foods and compare the contents with the suggested guidelines to evaluate the potential in-compliance.
Methods: A total of 96 dry cat foods were evaluated.
BACKGROUND Shiga toxin-producing Escherichia coli (STEC) causes serious bacterial illnesses from consuming undercooked meat and foods contaminated with feces. This study aimed to describe the characteristics of an STEC outbreak associated with hemolytic uremic syndrome (HUS) that emerged in Turkey and affected 21 adults. MATERIAL AND METHODS The medical records of 21 adult patients who were admitted to Ankara Bilkent City Hospital Internal Medicine Intensive Care Department with the diagnosis of HUS between July and September 2022 were retrospectively evaluated through the system.

Aim: This study aimed to investigate the relationship between electrophysiological findings of diabetic neuropathy (DN) and patients' quality of life, neuropathic pain levels, and well-being.
Materials And Methods: A cross-sectional study was conducted in 12 centers in Turkey. DN patients were categorized into four stages based on electrophysiological findings using the Baba classification.
Knowing the concentration levels of phenolic compounds and anthocyanins in grape berries plays a key role, as these compounds significantly contribute to the nutritional value and quality of grapes, affecting both health benefits and grape quality. The current study was conducted to investigate how different tillage (disc harrow, chisel, no tillage) and organic fertilizer (Antep radish and broccoli chopped residue, olive blackwater) treatments affect the concentration of these valuable compounds in Royal grape berries over three consecutive years (2020-2022), providing insights into optimal agricultural practices for enhancing grape quality. Our results documented significant variations in phenolic and anthocyanin concentrations across different soil tillage, organic fertilizer treatments and years.

Syntax score (SS) shows the extension of coronary artery disease. Previously, low TWA and T/R ratios were demonstrated to be inversely proportional to the risk of sudden cardiac arrest in different cardiac disease conditions.

The modulation enables velocity matching and efficient interactions between low-energy electrons and co-propagating photons. Specifically, we design a subwavelength-grating (SWG) waveguide for interactions between 23-keV free electrons and ≈1500-nm photons.
