The last several years have seen unprecedented strain on food systems as a result of pandemics, climate change, population growth, and urbanization. Thus, academic and scientific communities now view global food security as a critical issue. However, food loss and waste are a major challenge when adopting food security and sustainability strategies, since a large proportion of food is lost or wasted along the food supply chain.

CCND1 translocations and overexpression have been identified in occasional aggressive B-cell lymphomas with unusual features for MCL. The mechanism generating CCND1 rearrangements in these tumors and their genomic profile are not known.

To address the environmental, social, and economic impacts of this trend, there has been a surge in the development of three-dimensional (3D) food bioprinting technologies for lab-grown muscle food products and their analogues. This innovative approach is a sustainable solution to mitigate the environmental risks associated with climate change caused by the negative impacts of indiscriminative livestock production and industrial aquaculture.

In fibrosis, unlike normal wound healing, structural and functional disorders are observed in the tissues caused by excessive/irregular accumulation of extracellular matrix proteins. It has been reported that transforming growth factor-β3 (TGF-β3) prevents and reverses fibrosis in various tissues or provides scarless healing with its antifibrotic effect.

Accordingly, there is a simultaneous increase in the amount and diversity of nanowaste, which arise as byproducts in the production, use, disposal, or recycling processes of nanomaterials utilized in the food industry. The potential risks of this nanowaste to human health and the environment are alarming.

Retrospective studies may be useful for assessing long-term damage, especially in rare diseases. We aimed to validate Behçet's Syndrome Overall Damage Index (BODI) for use in retrospective studies by evaluating its construct validity, reliability, and feasibility in retrospectively collected data.

Formation of biogenic amines (BAs) produced by microbial decarboxylation of amino acids in food is undesirable because it can induce toxic effects in consumers. Therefore, it is crucial to investigate the effects of natural additives with high bioactivity like spice extracts to inhibit the growth of these bacteria and the formation of BAs in food.

The study aimed to determine metal/metalloid levels in canned fish and potential health risks for both children and adult consumers. The metal/metalloid levels in the samples were determined using an Inductively Coupled Plasma-Mass Spectrometer (ICP-MS), with the range of levels found as follows (mg/kg, ww): Fe (12.

It is, however, under-recognized that the sustainability of human activities strongly relies on preserving the equilibrium of the microbial communities living in/on/around us. Microbial metabolic activities are instrumental for production, functionalization, processing, and preservation of food.

There has been a rise in the demand for food products that have undergone minimal processing or have been subjected to non-thermal techniques. Livestock-derived food products, such as meat, milk, eggs, and seafood, are widely recognized for their high nutritional value.

Background: Owing to the toxic effects of enterococci, their biogenic amine production is a negative aspect of safe strain selection and unfavourable activity in food. Additionally, the ability to tolerate acid and bile are two important traits for the selection of probiotic strains since they show the probiotic bacteria's capacity to survive throughout gastrointestinal transit. In the present work, six enterococci strains belonging to Enterococcus gallinarum and Enterococcus hirae were subjected to in vitro evaluation of their ability to produce biogenic amines and to tolerate gastrointestinal stress in order to investigate their possibility for future intended use as probiotics.
