Our study aimed to report the clinical course of symptomatic uterine rudiments in adolescents and adults with Mayer-Rokitansky-Küster-Hauser syndrome (MRKHS). This study involved 20 patients with MRKHS who, between 2012 and 2023, underwent surgery for symptomatic uterine horns at the mean age of 25.

Capillary iso-electric focusing (cIEF), commonly used for the evaluation of such CQA, provides an analytical tool to investigate mAb purity and identity across the product lifecycle. Here, we discuss the results of an analysis of a panel of antibody products by conventional and whole-column imaging cIEF systems performed as part of European Pharmacopoeia activities related to development of "horizontal standards" for the quality control of monoclonal antibodies (mAbs).

Background: One of the important aftereffects of rapid global development is international mobility, which has placed the health of migrant workers as a key public health issue. A less-developed country, Nepal, with political instability and a significant lack of employment, could not remain untouched by this phenomenon of migration. Our goal was to identify and determine the predictors of anxiety, depression, and psychological wellbeing among Nepalese migrant workers in Gulf countries (United Arab Emirates, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Oman, Kuwait, Bahrain) and Malaysia.

Avoidant Restrictive Food Intake Disorder: A Narrative Review of Types and Characteristics of Therapeutic Interventions.

The diagnosis of avoidant/restrictive food intake disorder (ARFID) was added to the diagnostic and statistical manual of mental disorders (DSM-5) just 10 years ago. This disorder consists of the failure to meet one's nutritional and/or energy needs, which may result in significant weight loss, significant nutritional deficit or functioning dependent on enteral nutrition or oral supplements. In children with this disorder, development is often problematic, and there is also marked interference with psychosocial functioning at all ages.

Deep learning for classification of thyroid nodules on ultrasound: validation on an independent dataset.

Objectives: The purpose is to apply a previously validated deep learning algorithm to a new thyroid nodule ultrasound image dataset and compare its performances with radiologists.

Methods: Prior study presented an algorithm which is able to detect thyroid nodules and then make malignancy classifications with two ultrasound images. A multi-task deep convolutional neural network was trained from 1278 nodules and originally tested with 99 separate nodules.

Role of Nutrition in the Etiopathogenesis and Prevention of Nonalcoholic Fatty Liver Disease (NAFLD) in a Group of Obese Adults.

Nonalcoholic fatty liver disease (NAFLD) is liver damage characterized by an accumulation of triglycerides in hepatocytes of >5% (due to an alteration of the balance of the lipid metabolism in favour of lipogenesis compared to lipolysis) that is not induced by the consumption of alcohol. The pathology includes simple steatosis and nonalcoholic steatohepatitis, or NASH (steatosis associated with microinflammatory activities), which can evolve in 15% of subjects with hepatic fibrosis to cirrhosis and the development of hepatocellular carcinoma. The aim of this study is to report the role of macro- and micronutrients in the pathogenesis and prevention of NAFLD in obese subjects.

A Competition, Benchmark, Code, and Data for Using Artificial Intelligence to Detect Lesions in Digital Breast Tomosynthesis.

Importance: An accurate and robust artificial intelligence (AI) algorithm for detecting cancer in digital breast tomosynthesis (DBT) could significantly improve detection accuracy and reduce health care costs worldwide.

Objectives: To make training and evaluation data for the development of AI algorithms for DBT analysis available, to develop well-defined benchmarks, and to create publicly available code for existing methods.

Design, Setting, And Participants: This diagnostic study is based on a multi-institutional international grand challenge in which research teams developed algorithms to detect lesions in DBT.

Introduction: Industry reports and anecdotal evidence indicate that the death loss rate in cattle feedlots has increased over time. Such increases in death loss rates impact feedlot cost and thus profitability.

Objectives: The primary objective of this study is to examine whether feedlot death loss rates in cattle have changed over time, to analyze the nature of any identified structural change, and to identify possible catalysts for that change.

Advances in neuroRehabilitation of TREM2-related dementia: A case report on a novel multimodal approach using virtual reality.

Rationable: The aim of this study is to investigate the effects of an advanced neuroRehabilitation protocol using virtual reality in the treatment of a patient with fronto- temporal dementia due to TREM2 mutation.

Patients Concern: A 41-year-old caucasian male, affected by Nasu-Hakola Disease (NHD), presented a 1-year history of change in behavioral and cognitive functioning, before our observation. The onset of the disease was characterized by severe pain in the lower limbs and knees with limitations in the performance of daily life activities.

Patellar height after unicompartmental knee arthroplasty: comparison between fixed and mobile bearing.

Purpose: The purpose of this study was to determine the changes in patellar heights by comparing standardised pre- and post-operative radiographs in a consecutive series of patients undergoing unicompartmental knee arthroplasty (UKA) with two different approaches and implant designs [fixed bearing (FB) vs mobile bearing (MB)] and to correlate the patellar heights with clinical outcomes.

Methods: One hundred and seventy-two UKA patients were prospectively enrolled in the study. 75 patients underwent a minimally invasive FB medial UKA (referred to hereinafter as the 'FB group'); 97 patients were treated with a minimally invasive MB medial UKA.

A Data Set and Deep Learning Algorithm for the Detection of Masses and Architectural Distortions in Digital Breast Tomosynthesis Images.

Importance: Breast cancer screening is among the most common radiological tasks, with more than 39 million examinations performed each year. While it has been among the most studied medical imaging applications of artificial intelligence, the development and evaluation of algorithms are hindered by the lack of well-annotated, large-scale publicly available data sets.

Objectives: To curate, annotate, and make publicly available a large-scale data set of digital breast tomosynthesis (DBT) images to facilitate the development and evaluation of artificial intelligence algorithms for breast cancer screening; to develop a baseline deep learning model for breast cancer detection; and to test this model using the data set to serve as a baseline for future research.

Background: Revision surgery after the Latarjet procedure is a rare and challenging surgical problem, and various bony or capsular procedures have been proposed. This systematic review examines clinical and radiographic outcomes of different procedures for treating persistent pain or recurrent instability after a Latarjet procedure.

Methods: A systematic review of the literature was performed using the Medline, Cochrane, EMBASE, Google Scholar and Ovid databases with the combined keywords "failed", "failure", "revision", "Latarjet", "shoulder stabilization" and "shoulder instability" to identify articles published in English that deal with failed Latarjet procedures.

A generative adversarial network-based abnormality detection using only normal images for model training with application to digital breast tomosynthesis.

Deep learning has shown tremendous potential in the task of object detection in images. However, a common challenge with this task is when only a limited number of images containing the object of interest are available. This is a particular issue in cancer screening, such as digital breast tomosynthesis (DBT), where less than 1% of cases contain cancer.

Electroconvulsive therapy, personal protective equipment and aerosol generating procedures: a review to guide practice during Coronavirus Disease 2019 (COVID-19) pandemic.

Objective: To review the literature on the definition of aerosol-generating procedures (AGPs), identify high-risk AGPs, guidelines to use personal protective equipment (PPE) and review evidence to see if electroconvulsive therapy (ECT) is a high-risk AGP requiring the use of PPE.

Methods: Existing guidelines and research data were reviewed to answer the questions.

Results: There is consensus about the type of anaesthesia used during ECT, what constitutes AGPs and what PPE should be used.

Deep Radiogenomics of Lower-Grade Gliomas: Convolutional Neural Networks Predict Tumor Genomic Subtypes Using MR Images.

Purpose: To employ deep learning to predict genomic subtypes of lower-grade glioma (LLG) tumors based on their appearance at MRI.

Materials And Methods: Imaging data from The Cancer Imaging Archive and genomic data from The Cancer Genome Atlas from 110 patients from five institutions with lower-grade gliomas (World Health Organization grade II and III) were used in this study. A convolutional neural network was trained to predict tumor genomic subtype based on the MRI of the tumor.

Assessment of adrenal reserve and secretion of cortisol in patients over 60 years of age undergoing cardiac surgery.

Introduction: Cortisol level affects the prognosis of patients after cardiac surgery. Meanwhile, there are no clear guidelines for steroid supplementation after a cardiac operation. The relationship between age and blood cortisol levels has not been finally clarified.

Deep Learning-Based Segmentation of Nodules in Thyroid Ultrasound: Improving Performance by Utilizing Markers Present in the Images.

Computer-aided segmentation of thyroid nodules in ultrasound imaging could assist in their accurate characterization. In this study, using data for 1278 nodules, we proposed and evaluated two methods for deep learning-based segmentation of thyroid nodules that utilize calipers present in the images. The first method used approximate nodule masks generated based on the calipers.
