The influence of modifying nanopowders on the spreading and crystallization of a nickel droplet on a porous steel substrate is analyzed. For this purpose, a model has been developed for the spreading of a drop of liquid metal after its high-speed collision with a heated porous substrate. Due to the high impact velocity, the process of metal crystallization is considered after the complete spreading of the drop using the model of heterogeneous nucleation and macroscopic growth of the solid phase, taking into account the size and capillary effects.

In this study, Ingots of (Bi, Sb)Te thermoelectric material with p-type conductivity have been obtained by hot extrusion. The main regularities of hot extrusion of 30 mm rods have been analyzed with the aid of a mathematical simulation on the basis of the joint use of elastic-plastic body approximations. The phase composition, texture and microstructure of the (Bi, Sb)Te solid solutions have been studied using X-ray diffraction and scanning electron microscopy.

The authors have analysed the results of operative treatment of 120 patients with chronic hepatitis and liver cirrhosis at the stage of compensation. Periarterial nervectomy of the common hepatic artery was performed in 30 patients, extraperitonealization of the right hepatic lobe with laser irradiation--in 42, periarterial nervectomy of the common hepatic artery with extraperitonealization of the right hepatic lobe and laser irradiation--in 48. The results of periarterial nervectomy of the common hepatic artery with extraperitonealization of the right hepatic lobe and use of laser irradiation were the best.

The authors present long-term results of employing electromyostimulation for the correction of static platypodia in 160 children aged 2-16. By means of electromyostimulation affecting the vault-supporting muscles of the crus and of the foot persistent correction of the vault was achieved in 68.75% of the children.
