In addition, and genes are co-expressed and dysregulated in some of the same triple negative breast cancer patient samples. We propose that the co-expression of the two genes is attributed to the MYBL1 transcription factor regulation of the gene.

Key steps included customizing the Gen3 architecture, transitioning from Amazon to Google Cloud, adapting data ingestion and harmonization processes, ensuring security and compliance for the Kubernetes environment, and optimizing performance and user experience.

This study examined the efficacy and impact of Civility Champions (CCs), a novel training program for a multidisciplinary cohort of faculty and graduate medical education (GME) trainees based in principles of trauma-informed care, nonviolent communication, and restorative practices.
Approach: Participants were 39 faculty and GME trainees representing 6 departments in a major academic medical center.
Cancer photothermal therapy leverages the capability of photothermal agents to convert light to heat for cancer cell ablation and necrosis. However, most conventional photothermal agents (Au, CuS, Pd, mesoporous silica nanoparticles, and indocyanine green dye) either face scalability challenges or photobleached upon prolonged irradiation which jeopardizes practical applications. Here, asphaltenes-derived carbon dots (ACDs, 5 nm) are rationally engineered as a low-cost and photostable photothermal agent with negligible in vivo cytotoxicity.

View Article and Find Full Text PDFBackground: Interventions to increase physical activity are needed in adolescent and young adult survivors of childhood cancer who are largely inactive but at lifelong elevated risk of multiple chronic conditions improved by physical activity. The goals of the StepByStep study are to evaluate the effects of a 48-week distance-based, multi-component mobile health and social media behavioral intervention on physical activity, biomarkers of cardiometabolic health, and health-related quality of life.
Methods: This ongoing study is a two-arm, prospective, multi-site randomized controlled trial.
Data within biobanks capture broad yet detailed indices of human variation, but biobank-wide insights can be difficult to extract due to complexity and scale. Here, using large-scale factor analysis, we distill hundreds of variables (diagnoses, assessments and survey items) into 35 latent constructs, using data from unrelated individuals with predominantly estimated European genetic ancestry in UK Biobank. These factors recapitulate known disease classifications, disentangle elements of socioeconomic status, highlight the relevance of psychiatric constructs to health and improve measurement of pro-health behaviours.

We reviewed our experience using surgery or stereotactic body radiotherapy (SBRT) to assess safety, survival rates and treatment toxicity in clinical stage I SCLC patients.
Materials And Methods: Electronic medical records of patients with clinical stage I lymph node-negative SCLC who underwent surgical resection or SBRT between 1996 and 2021 were retrospectively reviewed.
