The purpose of the study was to identify potential differences between patients with right colon cancer and left colon cancer in epidemiological, clinical presentation, pathological, and surgical results in addition to the impact of the sidedness on disease-free survival (DFS) and overall survival (OS). Patients with a diagnosis of colon cancer stages I-IV between 2010 and 2020 were identified from a prospective database in a tertiary single center. Right and left-sided cancer were compared regarding epidemiological, clinical presentation, pathological, and surgical results.

A Case of Perforated Jejunal Diverticulum: An Unexpected Cause of Pneumoperitoneum in a Patient Presenting with an Acute Abdomen.

BACKGROUND Jejunal diverticulosis is a rare clinical condition, and the majority of patients are asymptomatic. However, some patients can develop serious complications, including perforation. We report the case of a 74-year-old female patient with a perforated jejunal diverticulum who presented with an 'acute abdomen' and with pneumoperitoneum on X-ray radiography.

Transanal endoscopic microsurgery is considered a safe, appropriate, and minimally invasive approach, and complications after endoscopic microsurgery are rare. We report a case of sepsis and pneumoretroperitoneum after resection of a rectal lateral spreading tumor. The patient presented with rectal mucous discharge.
