There is an increasing concern related to the toxic effects of the soluble portion of diesel oil on aquatic ecosystems and the organisms living in them. In this context, the aim of this study was to analyze the effects of diesel water accommodated-fraction (WAF) on behavioral and biochemical responses of mussels Perna perna. Animals were exposed to 5 and 20% of WAF for 96 h.
