[The occurrence of dioctophymosis in dogs from Municipality of Cachoeiro do Itapemirim in the State of Espírito Santo, Brazil, from May to December of 2004].

Dioctophyma renale is frequently observed in dogs from rural areas. From a total of 67 necropsies carried out from May to December of 2004, 56 were dogs, which came from the minicipality of Cachoeiro do Itapemirim, two animals parasited for D. renale.
