[Results of a surveillance strategy with SARS-CoV-2 antigen testing].

The objective was to describe the results of a surveillance strategy based on the use of SARS-CoV-2 rapid antigen detection tests. A retrospective cohort study was held between December 2020 and March 2021, which included suspected cases of COVID-19 evaluated by rapid antigen tests at a public hospital, with confirmatory molecular tests in negative cases. Positive cases and their close contacts were followed up by telephone.

Baseline Characteristics of a National French E-Cohort of Hidradenitis Suppurativa in ComPaRe and Comparison with Other Large Hidradenitis Suppurativa Cohorts.

Background: Hidradenitis suppurativa (HS) is a chronic inflammatory skin condition substantially impacting patients' quality of life; the pathogenesis remains unclear, and treatment is complex and not yet standardized. Observational data are increasingly being used to evaluate therapeutics in "real-life" interventions, and the development of e-cohorts is offering new tools for epidemiological studies at the population level.

Objective: The aim of this study was to describe the clinical characteristics and treatment history of HS participants in the Community of Patients for Research (ComPaRe) cohort and to compare these to other cohorts.

Evaluation of 20-MHz high-frequency ultrasonography for the diagnosis of choroidal nevi.

Purpose: Evaluate short-term intraoperator reproducibility of ultrasonographic measurements of choroidal nevi using 10- and 20-MHz probes, and the efficacy of the high-frequency probes for the diagnosis of choroidal nevi.

Methods: Diameters and thicknesses of choroidal nevi were measured using a 10-MHz probe and a high-frequency long focal length 20-MHz probe (Quantel Medical™). The first part of the study evaluated intraoperator reproducibility of measurements of choroidal nevi with 10- and 20-MHz probes and the second part of the study allowed the comparisons of the measurements of largest tumor diameter (LDT) of choroidal nevi of 40 patients between the 10- and 20-MHz probes.

Analysis of the correlation between disease activity score 28 and its ultrasonographic equivalent in rheumatoid arthritis patients.

This study aimed at examining motor and ideomotor praxis skills in children with neurofibromatosis type 1 (NF1). The impact of executive dysfunction, frequently described in children with NF1, on the expression of praxis impairments was also studied. Eighteen children with NF1 were included and matched with 20 control children for age (7-14 years), sex, laterality, and parental education level.

Health-Related Quality of Life for Children and Adolescents with Specific Language Impairment: A Cohort Study by a Learning Disabilities Reference Center.

Objectives: To assess the health-related quality of life (HRQOL) of children with specific language impairment (SLI).

Study Design: In a prospective sample at a Learning Disabilities Reference Center, proxy-rated HRQOL (KIDSCREEN-27) was assessed for children with SLI and unaffected children from January 1, 2014 to March 31, 2015. Quality of life predictors for children with SLI were evaluated by recording the length and number of speech therapy and psychotherapy sessions and the specific school organization that the children had participated in.

Nickel-catalyzed direct carboxylation of olefins with CO2 : one-pot synthesis of α,β-unsaturated carboxylic acid salts.

The nickel-catalyzed direct carboxylation of alkenes with the cheap and abundantly available C1 building block carbon dioxide (CO2 ) in the presence of a base has been achieved. The one-pot reaction allows for the direct and selective synthesis of a wide range of α,β-unsaturated carboxylates (TON>100, TOF up to 6 h(-1) , TON=turnover number, TOF=turnover frequency). Thus, it is possible, in one step, to synthesize sodium acrylate from ethylene, CO2 , and a sodium salt.

Ruthenium carbenes supported on mesoporous silicas as highly active and selective hybrid catalysts for olefin metathesis reactions under continuous flow.

In the search for a highly active and selective heterogenized metathesis catalyst, we systematically varied the pore geometry and size of various silica-based mesoporous (i.e., MCM-41, MCM-48, and SBA-15) and microporous (ZSM-5 and MWW) versus macroporous materials (D11-10 and Aerosil 200), besides other process parameters (temperature, dilution, and mean residence time).

Linker-free, silica-bound olefin-metathesis catalysts: applications in heterogeneous catalysis.

A set of heterogenized olefin-metathesis catalysts, which consisted of Ru complexes with the H(2)ITap ligand (1,3-bis(2',6'-dimethyl-4'dimethyl aminophenyl)-4,5-dihydroimidazol-2-ylidene) that had been adsorbed onto a silica support, has been prepared. These complexes showed strong binding to the solid support without the need for tethering groups on the complex or functionalized silica. The catalysts were tested in the ring-opening-ring-closing-metathesis (RO-RCM) of cyclooctene (COE) and the self-metathesis of methyl oleate under continuous-flow conditions.

Mutations and deletions in PCDH19 account for various familial or isolated epilepsies in females.

Mutations in PCDH19, encoding protocadherin 19 on chromosome X, cause familial epilepsy and mental retardation limited to females or Dravet-like syndrome. Heterozygous females are affected while hemizygous males are spared, this unusual mode of inheritance being probably due to a mechanism called cellular interference. To extend the mutational and clinical spectra associated with PCDH19, we screened 150 unrelated patients (113 females) with febrile and afebrile seizures for mutations or rearrangements in the gene.

Molecular recognition of N-protected dipeptides by pseudopeptidic macrocycles: a comparative study of the supramolecular complexes by ESI-MS and NMR.

The molecular recognition properties of pseudopeptidic macrocycles have been studied by ESI-MS and NMR spectroscopy, as highly complementary experimental techniques in solution and in the gas phase. We used ESI-MS competition experiments for the high throughput screening of the supramolecular interaction between four macrocyclic receptors and different peptide-like substrates in solution, rendering the best-fitted host-guest pairs. Further insights on the non-covalent recognition process in the gas-phase were obtained through collision induced dissociation (CID) experiments.

Structural diversity in the self-assembly of pseudopeptidic macrocycles.

The self-assembling abilities of several pseudopeptidic macrocycles have been thoroughly studied both in the solid (SEM, TEM, FTIR) and in solution (NMR, UV, CD, FTIR) states. Detailed microscopy revealed large differences in the morphology of the self-assembling micro/nanostructures depending on the macrocyclic chemical structures. Self-assembly was triggered by the presence of additional methylene groups or by changing from para to meta geometry of the aromatic phenylene backbone moiety.

[Dissociative disorder and traumatic events. A study of Spanish population].

Dissociative Disorder is relatively uncommon. It has been associated to the presence of traumatic events and especially to sexual abuse in childhood. Our study presents a clinical sample of 36 patients with Dissociative Disorder, prospectively evaluated with standardized scales in an outpatient department of general psychiatry.

Designed folding of pseudopeptides: the transformation of a configurationally driven preorganization into a stereoselective multicomponent macrocyclization reaction.

The efficient synthesis of large-ring pseudopeptidic macrocycles through a multicomponent [2+2] reductive amination reaction is described. The reaction was entirely governed by the structural information contained in the corresponding open-chain pseudopeptidic bis(amidoamine) precursors, which have a rigid (R,R)-cyclohexane-1,2-diamine moiety. A remarkable match/mismatch relationship between the configurations of the chiral centers of the cyclic diamine and those of the peptidic frame was observed.

Supramolecular control for the modular synthesis of pseudopeptidic macrocycles through an anion-templated reaction.

The anion-templated synthesis of different pseudopeptidic macrocycles has been studied in detail by using a multidisciplinary approach. The reaction between an open-chain pseudopeptidic diamine and the appropriate dialdehyde is highly affected by the presence of the best fitting anionic template. The formation of the corresponding macrocyclic tetraimino-template supramolecular complex is demonstrated by NMR (ROESY and PGSE) and mass spectrometry (ESI-TOF).

Risk factors of acute renal failure after liver transplantation.

The objective of this study was to determine the risk factors of postoperative acute renal failure (ARF) in orthotopic liver transplantation (OLT). We reviewed 184 consecutive OLT. Postoperative ARF was defined as a persistent rise of 50% increase or more of the S-creatinine (S-Cr).

[Spectacular neurologic manifestations after mild head trauma: retrospective study on 51 children].
