The utility of endocervical sampling at the time of colposcopic examination after less than high-grade screening Papanicolaou smear is unknown. To address this question, we performed a retrospective review using a colposcopy patient care database maintained at our urban academic medical center. We examined the prevalence of high-grade dysplasia in endocervical samples, the prevalence of high-grade dysplasia in directed cervical biopsies, and the correlations between high-grade endocervical dysplasia and patient factors of age and time to colposcopy.

Article Synopsis
  • - The study explores the effectiveness of crushed ticagrelor (CTIC) versus eptifibatide plus clopidogrel in patients with acute coronary syndrome, revealing that CTIC results in higher rates of high on-treatment platelet reactivity, which can lead to more heart complications during procedures.
  • - Results showed a significant difference in platelet reactivity, with CTIC showing 42% reactivity at 30 minutes compared to 0% for eptifibatide and clopidogrel, indicating that the latter combo works much more quickly to inhibit platelet aggregation.
  • - Additionally, eptifibatide plus clopidogrel was linked to a lower occurrence of myocardial infarction and injury during the procedure (
