Background: The persistence of residual tumour after neoadjuvant chemotherapy (NAC) in localised triple-negative breast cancer (TNBC) is known to have a negative prognostic value. However, different degrees of expression of some immunohistochemical markers may correlate with different prognoses.
Methods: The expression of biomarkers with a known prognostic value, i.
Adsorption and ion exchange technologies are two of the most widely used approaches to separate pollutants from water; however, their intrinsic diffusion limitations continue to be a challenge. Pore functionalized membranes are a promising technology that can help overcome these challenges, but the extents of their competitive benefits and broad applicability have not been systematically evaluated. Herein, three types of adsorptive/ion exchange (IX) polymers containing strong/weak acid, strong base, and iron-chitosan complex groups were synthesized in the pores and partially on the surface of microfiltration (MF) membranes and tested for the removal of organic and inorganic cations and anions from water, including arsenic, per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances (PFAS), and calcium (hardness).

Patients And Methods: To investigate chemosensitivity and long-term prognosis of HER2-low early breast cancer (eBC), compared to HER2-0 tumors, we retrospectively retrieved clinicopathological characteristics, response to treatment, and survival data from 511 patients treated for eBC with neoadjuvant chemotherapy (NAC) in a French cancer center between 2007 and 2018.
Background: Many patients receiving adjuvant endocrine therapy (ET) for breast cancer experience side effects and reduced quality of life (QoL) and discontinue ET. We sought to describe these issues and develop a prediction model of early discontinuation of ET.
Methods: Among patients with hormone receptor-positive and HER2-negative stage I-III breast cancer of the Cancer Toxicities cohort (NCT01993498) who were prescribed adjuvant ET between 2012 and 2017, upon stratification by menopausal status, we evaluated adjuvant ET patterns including treatment change and patient-reported discontinuation and ET-associated toxicities and impact on QoL.
Background: Invasive lobular carcinoma accounts for 10 to 15% of all breast cancers. The first objective of this retrospective study was to assess the diagnostic performance of FDG-PET/CT scanning in women previously treated for invasive lobular carcinoma with suspected first recurrence. The secondary objectives were to evaluate the impact of PET/CT in a change in treatment and its prognostic value on specific survival.

We aimed to compare outcomes of salvage involved-field radiation therapy (s-IFRT) and salvage extended-field radiation therapy (s-EFRT) for positron emission tomography/computed tomography-positive nodal-recurrent prostate cancer and to analyze patterns of progressions after salvage nodal radiation therapy.
Methods And Materials: Patients with F-fluorocholine or Ga prostate-specific membrane antigen ligand positron emission tomography/computed tomography-positive nodal-recurrent prostate cancer and treated with s-IFRT or s-EFRT were retrospectively selected.

Background: This paper addresses the question of the in vivo measurement of breast tissue stiffness, which has been poorly adressed until now, except for elastography imaging which has shown promising results but which is still difficult for clinicians to use on a day-to-day basis. Estimating subject-specific tissue stiffness is indeed a critical area of research due to the development of a large number of Finite Element (FE) breast models for various medical applications.
Methods: This paper proposes to use an original aspiration device, put into contact with breast surface, and to estimate tissue stiffness using an inverse analysis of the aspiration experiment.

Given their versatility and formability, polymers have proven to be a viable platform facilitating a controlled and tuned release for a variety of therapeutic agents. One growing area of polymer drug delivery is polymeric prodrugs, which covalently link active pharmaceutical ingredients to a polymeric form to enhance stability, delivery, and pharmacology. One such class of polymeric prodrugs, poly(beta amino esters) (PβAEs) can be synthesized into crosslinked, or "thermoset," networks which greatly limits their processability.

Such ligaments are collagenous breast tissue that create a three-dimensional structure over the entire breast volume. Ten ligaments were extracted from a human cadaver, from which 28 samples were cut and used to perform uniaxial tensile tests.

Patients with cancer regularly attend specialised healthcare centres for management and treatment, where they are in contact with healthcare workers (HCWs). Numerous recommendations target both patients with cancer and HCWs to minimise the spread of SARS-CoV-2 during these interactions.

Monitoring their distribution is, therefore, necessary to evaluate and control their impact on the health of exposed populations. This investigation evaluates the capability of a simple polymeric detection scheme for PFAS based on crosslinked, thermoresponsive poly(-isopropylacrylamide) (PNIPAM) hydrogels.

Objective: Breast cancer patients often benefit from adjuvant chemotherapy, a protocol whose effectiveness is accompanied by disabling adverse effects. The aim of this controlled clinical study was to determine the impact of visceral osteopathy on the incidence of nausea/vomiting, constipation and overall quality of life (QoL) in women operated for breast cancer and undergoing adjuvant chemotherapy in Centre Georges François Leclerc, CGFL.
Study Design: Ninety-four women operated for a breast cancer stage 1-3, in complete resection and to whom a 3 FEC 100 chemotherapy was prescribed, were randomly allocated to experimental or placebo group.
Functionalized PVDF membrane platforms were developed for environmentally benign in-situ nanostructured Fe/Pd synthesis and remediation of chlorinated organic compounds. To prevent leaching and aggregation, nanoparticle catalysts were integrated into membrane domains functionalized with poly (acrylic acid). Nanoparticles of 16-19 nm were observed inside the membrane pores by using focused ion beam (FIB).
