Bio-based aromatic diamines from vanillin substrate were successfully synthesized and characterized. These amines, i.e.

However, these properties are strongly dependent on the forming process itself that determines the particle distribution and orientation. At the same time, the resulting enhanced thermal properties affect the reinforced resin viscosity whose flow is involved in the intimate contact evolution.

A characterization of the fiber surface properties was done before and after coating (topography, surface chemistry, and surface energy). Sharp improvements of the interfacial shear strength (+ 120%), measured by a micromechanical test derived from the pull-out test, were obtained and, to the best of our knowledge, never reported before.
