Abiraterone acetate (AbA) is a progesterone derivative indicated for the treatment of metastatic prostate cancer. This BCS (Biopharmaceutics Classification System) Class IV molecule has an extremely poor oral bioavailability (<10 %), notably due to its very low water solubility and intestinal permeability. Among the few existing galenic strategies to improve AbA's oral bioavailability, lipid nanoparticles such as Solid Lipid Nanoparticles (SLN) and Nanostructured Lipid Carriers (NLC) are relevant nanovectors.

Introduction: The short-term effectiveness of the PRomotion de l'ALIMentation et de l'Activité Physique-INÈgalités de Santé' (PRALIMAP-INÈS) intervention to reduce social inequalities in overweight and obesity management among adolescents between 2012 and 2015 was demonstrated. This longitudinal mixed-methods study is a 10-year postintervention follow-up of the PRALIMAP-INÈS intervention with the aim of investigating social, economic, educational and health (especially weight) trajectories from adolescence to young adulthood.

Conventional therapies for inflammatory bowel diseases are mainly based on systemic treatments which cause side effects and toxicity over long-term administration. Non-ideal behaviour of mixed ions is disclosed in skin absorption experiments of mixed halide anions in excised pig skin. Comparison of skin absorption of pure and mixed ions shows enhanced penetration of chaotropic ions from mixed solutions. An experimental design and statistical analysis using a Scheffé {3,2} simplex-lattice allows investigating the full ternary diagram of anion mixtures of fluoride, bromide and iodide.

In this work, nanocomposites that combine mucopenetrating and mucoadhesive properties in a single system are proposed as innovative strategy to increase drug residence time in the intestine following oral administration. This study explored the design of supersaturable self-microemulsifying drug delivery systems (S-SMEDDS) to address poor solubility and oral bioavailability of a novel benzimidazole derivative anticancer drug (BI). Muscular Dystrophies (MDs) are a group of rare inherited genetic muscular pathologies encompassing a variety of clinical phenotypes, gene mutations and mechanisms of disease.
