Study Design: This was a longitudinal study of 82 infants diagnosed with CF through newborn screening. Monthly stool samples were sent to a central laboratory for fecal elastase measurements.
Background: The objectives of this study were to determine the incidence of locoregional failure in patients with low-risk, early stage oral tongue squamous cell cancer (OTSCC) who undergo partial glossectomy and ipsilateral elective neck dissection without receiving postoperative radiation.
Methods: A combined database of patients with OTSCC who received treatment at Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center and Princess Margaret Cancer Center from 1985 to 2005 was established. In total, 164 patients with pathologic T1-T2N0 OTSCC who underwent partial glossectomy and ipsilateral elective neck dissection without postoperative radiation were identified.
Objectives: To review outcomes and analyze the patterns of locoregional recurrence of oral cavity squamous cell carcinoma (OCSCC) treated with surgery and postoperative intensity-modulated radiation therapy (IMRT).
Materials And Methods: All patients with Stage I-IVB OCSCC treated with surgery and postoperative IMRT± concurrent chemotherapy between 2005 and 2010 were evaluated. Patient survival and tumor outcomes were prospectively recorded.

Recent advances now permit resection of many pharyngeal tumors through the open mouth, an approach that can greatly reduce the morbidity of surgical exposure. These transoral techniques are being rapidly adopted by the surgical community and hold considerable promise. Intensity-modulated radiation therapy (IMRT) is a conformal irradiation technique that enables steep dose gradients. In head and neck tumours this approach spares parotid-gland function without compromise to treatment efficacy. Anatomical and molecular imaging modalities may be used to tailor treatment by enabling proper selection and delineation of target volumes and organs at risk, which in turn lead to dose prescriptions that take into account the underlying tumour biology (eg, human papillomavirus status).

Methods And Materials: Daily CBCT images for 31 patients receiving H&N intensity-modulated radiotherapy (IMRT) were reviewed. Registrations using anatomically defined RVs with a fixed superior border at base of sella and varying inferior extent were used retrospectively to evaluate patient setup.
Background: The objective of this study was to examine the effect of known predictors of local recurrence of soft tissue sarcoma in a competing risk setting.
Methods: The outcome of interest was the cumulative probability of local recurrence per category of relevant predictors, with death as a competing event. In total, 1668 patients with a localized soft tissue sarcoma of the extremity or trunk were included.

Tumefactive fibroinflammatory lesion (TFIL) is a rare benign tumor in the head and neck region. We present a case of a 40-year-old female with a benign but progressive lesion of the infratemporal fossa, which was diagnosed as TFIL. Patient responded briefly to a course of steroid treatment but eventually showed progression and was unresponsive to further steroids.

Background: The treatment of diffuse tenosynovial giant cell tumor (TGCT) requires extensive surgical resection of the hypertrophic synovium and multiple soft tissue masses yet still may result in high rates of local failure. The authors of this report examined their experience in treating patients with advanced/multiply recurrent TGCT with a combination of surgery and external-beam radiotherapy.
Methods: Fifty patients who were treated for TGCT with radiotherapy and surgery from 1972 to 2006 were identified.
