Background: Survivorship care plans (SCP) should outline pertinent information about cancer treatment and follow-up.
Methods: We descriptively analyzed the content of 74 colorectal cancer SCPs completed as part of a randomized, controlled trial of SCPs at an academic and community cancer center. Surveillance recommendations were compared with American Cancer Society, American Society of Clinical Oncology and National Comprehensive Cancer Network guidelines.
Background: Hyperthermic intraperitoneal chemotherapy (HIPEC) and cytoreductive surgery (CRS) have been shown to improve clinical outcomes among select patients presenting with peritoneal carcinomatosis. The aim of the present study was to describe temporal trends in clinical outcomes among patients undergoing CRS/HIPEC.
Materials And Methods: Patients who underwent CRS/HIPEC were identified using the American College of Surgeons National Surgical Quality Improvement Program databases from 2005 to 2013.
