Background: Non-anaemic iron deficiency is highly prevalent in people living with chronic kidney disease (CKD) but is underdiagnosed and undertreated, especially in earlier stages of CKD. A multicentre trial assessing the effect of intravenous iron supplementation in iron-deficiency but not anaemic people with CKD included a qualitative sub-study that aimed to explore the patient experience and psychosocial impact of living with CKD and iron deficiency, and the experience of the therapeutic intervention (intravenous iron and exercise).

Pre-eclampsia is a leading cause of maternal and neonatal mortality; 30,000 pre-eclampsia-related maternal deaths occur annually, with 70% in Sub-Saharan Africa (SSA) and 16% in South Asia. We have shown that early, accurate detection of hypertension combined with planned early delivery in women with late preterm pre-eclampsia significantly reduces stillbirth and severe maternal hypertension. We describe co-development and delivery of policy labs, working with The Policy Institute (King's College London), and local stakeholders in Sierra Leone and Zambia, to expedite integration of new knowledge into pre-eclampsia care pathways, to improve care for women and babies with the worst outcomes.

Understanding the relationship between reproductive health and kidney function is important to provide holistic care for people living with kidney disease. Introduction: The National Registry of Rare Kidney Diseases (RaDaR) collects data from people living with rare kidney diseases across the UK, and is the world's largest, rare kidney disease registry. We present the clinical demographics and renal function of 25,880 prevalent patients and sought evidence of bias in recruitment to RaDaR.

Chronic kidney disease (CKD) poses a significant global health challenge with increasing prevalence and associated morbidity. Point-of-care testing (POCT) provides an opportunity to improve CKD management and outcomes through early detection and targeted interventions, particularly in underserved communities. Introduction: Anti-glomerular basement membrane (GBM) disease is a rare cause of glomerulonephritis usually mediated by IgG antibodies and is associated with ANCA-associated glomerulonephritis in up to 50% of cases. IgA-mediated anti-GBM disease is extremely rare and presents diagnostic difficulties as circulating IgA antibodies will not be detected by standard serological tests for anti-GBM disease.

Chronic kidney disease (CKD), anemia, and iron deficiency are global health issues affecting individuals in both high-income and low-income countries. In pregnancy, both CKD and iron deficiency anemia increase the risk of adverse maternal and neonatal outcomes, including increased maternal morbidity and mortality, stillbirth, perinatal death, preterm birth, and low birthweight. This trial assessed the feasibility and acceptability of Kidney BEAM, a physical activity and emotional well-being self-management digital health intervention (DHI) for people with chronic kidney disease (CKD), which offers live and on-demand physical activity sessions, educational blogs and videos, and peer support.
