In this article, we propose a consensus delineation of postoperative clinical target volumes for the primary tumour in maxillary sinus and nasal cavity cancers. These guidelines are developed based on radioanatomy and the natural history of those cancers. They require the fusion of the planning CT with preoperative imaging for accurate positioning of the initial GTV and the combined use of the geometric and anatomical concepts for the delineation of clinical target volume for the primary tumour.

Persistent neuronal firing is often observed in working memory and temporal association tasks both in humans and animals, and is believed to retain necessary information in these tasks. We have reported that hippocampal CA1 pyramidal cells are able to support persistent firing through intrinsic mechanisms in the presence of cholinergic agonists. However, it still remains largely unknown how persistent firing is affected by the development of animals and aging.

Objective: For most patients suffering from recurrent and/or metastatic head and neck squamous cell carcinoma (R/M HNSCC), chemotherapy is the main option after considering surgery and reirradiation. Cetuximab combined with a platinum-fluorouracil regimen (EXTREME) has been the standard of care for over a decade. Nevertheless, a significant number of patients remain unfit for this regimen because of age, severe comorbidities, or poor performance status.

Purpose: The purpose of this study was to evaluate the efficacy and tolerance of normofractionated stereotactic radiation therapy (RT) and intensity modulated RT with helical tomotherapy for skull base meningioma.

Methods And Materials: Between January 2009 and 2014, 46 patients with skull base meningioma were treated with normofractionated intensity modulated RT in stereotactic conditions (50%) or with helical tomotherapy (50%). Most of the lesions were localized in the cavernous sinus (59%).
