Death by collision with an incoming train is common in countries where a railroad network exists. In such cases, when there is severe pelvic trauma, the penis may be partially degloved and turned inside out. The inverted penile skin may then resemble a vulva and the scrotum may mimic labia majora, causing the injured male genitalia to strongly resemble female genitalia.

We argue that a strong priority on pollution avoidance, research for remediation, and tighter regulation and monitoring must be implemented to make progress.

This quality improvement initiative encompassed 2 key phases. Initially, a standardized workflow for managing expiring medications was implemented across 2 satellite pharmacy areas.

This scoping review aims to map existing knowledge of the effects of work-rest regimens in hot environments and to propose recommendations for future research based on identified gaps.
Methods: We performed a search of 10 databases to retrieve studies focused on work-rest regimens under hot conditions.
The olive tree ( L.) is the main fruit tree in most of the arid and semi-arid regions of Tunisia, which is where the problem of salinity is more pronounced. Salinity is one of the main factors that affects the productivity of olive trees, so the objective of this experiment was to study the effects of salinity on the photosynthesis, water relations, mineral status, and enzymatic activity of two cultivars of L.

Materials And Methods: It is a prospective case-control study conducted on 25 women with proven endometriosis and 50 patients diagnosed with other causes of infertility. All these patients were candidates for ICSI cycles.
To investigate B-cell differentiation and maturation occurring in the germinal center (GC) using culture systems, key factors and interactions of the GC reaction need to be accurately simulated. This study aims at improving GC simulation using 3D culture techniques. Human B-cells were incorporated into PEG-4MAL hydrogels, to create a synthetic extracellular matrix, supported by CD40L cells, human tonsil-derived lymphoid stromal cells, and cytokines.

In the case of biologging data from birds, common analytical approaches to classifying movement behaviors are largely inappropriate for these massive data sets.We apply a framework for using -means clustering to classify bird behavior using points from short time interval GPS tracks.

Golden eagles are unintentionally killed in conjunction with many lawful activities (e.g.

However, little information exists regarding spatial and temporal variation in collision rates, meaning that mitigation is most often a blanket prescription. To address this knowledge gap, we evaluated variation among turbines and months in an aspect of collision risk-probability of entry by an eagle into a rotor-swept zone (hereafter, "probability of entry").

A new generation of ceramic on ceramic (BIOLOX ®delta) bearings has emerged more than 10 years ago proving a high resistance to wear and good clinical results. However, biological reactions to wear debris, particularly the nanoparticles, need to be evaluated. The first originality of this study is to start from real wear particles obtained by the hip walking simulator (CERsim).
View Article and Find Full Text PDFA central theme for conservation is understanding how animals differentially use, and are affected by change in, the landscapes they inhabit. However, it has been challenging to develop conservation schemes for habitat-specific behaviors. Here we use behavioral change point analysis to identify behavioral states of golden eagles ( ) in the Sonoran and Mojave Deserts of the southwestern United States, and we identify, for each behavioral state, conservation-relevant habitat associations.

Recourse to fertility preservation before starting these treatments is therefore necessary in order to allow a better life quality after survival.

A CT scan and MRI showed a Jefferson fracture of the atlas, associated to a posterior displacement of the skull, a fracture of the dens of the axis, and fractures of the bodies of C5 and C6.

Materials And Methods: To learn more about oncofertility practice in developing countries, we generated a survey to explore the barriers and opportunities associated with oncofertility practice in five developing countries from Africa and Latin America within our Oncofertility Consortium Global Partners Network. Responses from Egypt, Tunisia, Brazil, Peru, and Panama were collected, reviewed, and discussed.
The first checklist of Sphecidae of Tunisia is established. It is based on literature, on examination of Tunisian specimens present in the Muséum National d'Histoire Naturelle, Paris, France), and on specimens recently collected in Tunisia. Fifty-three species and subspecies belonging to 10 genera, 3 tribes and 4 subfamilies are listed.

We report a case of a 35-year-old man found dead and naked at home by his friend. Although no anatomic cause of death was observed at autopsy, toxicological analysis identified 4-MEC and hydroxyzine at therapeutic level (160 ng/mL).

In oncofertility, patients should receive their fertility preservation treatments urgently even in limited resource settings before initiation of anticancer therapy. Therefore, it is very crucial to learn more about oncofertility practice in limited resource settings such as in developing countries that suffer often from shortage of healthcare services provided to young patients with cancer.

While SBS has been shown to improve background subtraction, a major difficulty is that it combines two streams generated at different frame rates. This results in SBS operating at the slowest frame rate of the two streams, usually being the one of the semantic segmentation algorithm.
